  1. Wow kuddos to you! I dont think i would have been ready 5 days. Im sure I could have done it, but I went back day 7 and man... it was hard! Glad your feeling better.
  2. My surgeon allows one healthy snack. Try some veggies, it wont hurt :-)
  3. I ate an hour before I had my fill today and I am allowed to eat whatever I want after.
  4. Im sorry to hear you have no restriction. It seems to be pretty common. I feel kinda lucky. It might take a few fills to get you where you need to be so dont get discouraged!
  5. I got my first fill today. I was so nervous! It didnt hurt at all! It wasnt comfortable when she was pressing on my stomach to find my port. She said I have some scar tissue so before she just poked me she wanted to make sure. I asked how much she put in and she said about 1/4. Does that mean i now have .25 cc in my band? She said she only put a little bit in because I was still having pretty good restriction and I stay full. So whoever is afraid that the fill is going to hurt, it doesn't AT ALL! I didn't even get the numbing stuff that some people talk about.
  6. I def could not eat like that 2 weeks post op! And i was on mushies, so I wouldnt be trying. But I am almost a month post op and I could not eat that. I get full very quickly. Why are you eating like this anyways? If you are worried about strentching your pouch, why dont you stop eating like that! You wont have very much success that way.
  7. how do you eat this many calories with the band? It seems that when I eat around 1400 cals thats when I lose weight, but I cant seem to eat that much while being banded!
  8. I said this in a thread before and people chewed me out because of it. I don't understand how adults can swallow gum.
  9. I am the same way. Not drinking after eating is the hardest part of this all! I prolly go threw 2-3 pieces of gum in that hour im waiting to drink!
  10. I want to lose more weight. Idk if it will help since I am doing everything right... but the scale is barely moving and im sick of it.
  11. This thread really makes me want to drink some pop... oh man I would give a lot to be allowed a diet coke! Its the hardest part of this whole thing not to drink it! haha
  12. I started normal foods just under a week ago and everytime I introduce a new food that I havent eaten since surgery back into my diet, I have diarrhea. I have to plan on when to eat these foods so I make sure I am at home! lol I am suppose to be taking benefiber but I really DONT think i need it. Maybe lay off of it for a few days and see what happens?
  13. How much did you lose before surgery? When you start to lose weight it always comes off the fastest and easiest. I do not feel like I need a fill. I have lost 9 pounds in almost a month...which is two pounds a week. I am eating the right things, not cheating, Im not hungry between meals and I am sticking to a good calorie intake. I just started working out and I dont think I need a fill either, but I have one for Monday and going to go threw with it, it cant hurt.
  14. I would think it means that shes going to fill you with the most that they do in one time.. which prolly ranges from dr to dr.
  15. I have one, Ive used it tops 10 times. Im not a fan. If you want a discount on one, let me know, mine is like brand new, Id be willing to sell it, just message me if your interested.
  16. I tried everything and nothing helped me. Walking made it worse for me :-( Hoping you have better luck!
  17. Its prolly not the gas pain anymore so gas-x and walking wont help. Extra strength tylenol helped me a tad. Im about 3 weeks post op and I am still having referred diaphragm pain, it was from the hital herina. Some days are worse then others, but nothing really helps :-( You just kinda have to ride it out....
  18. I started working out yesterday and I notice that I get this sharp pain right under my port incision. I just ignore it. lol
  19. I have a personal trainer, so I can help answer that for you. Heavy weight with less reps is better. You want to gain lean muscle. THe more lean muscle you have the more calories you burn in a shorter period of time.
  20. I was banded the 17th. I lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks. I started normal food yesterday and I made sure I ate all my protein. Today was my 2nd day of real food and I have been tracking my food. I eat 1500 calories and at least 70g of protein. I have lost 4 pounds in two days!! I think that my body was holding on to everything cuz it was holding on to all the fat, as I was only eating about 800 cals a day. I really think once i boosted it up and added the protein that it helped!
  21. I did not get it done. The position of my belly button was not a good place for the incision, it would have caused me more pain then normal. My 4 little incisions arent even noticeable! To me it seems like there is only one. haha
  22. I wasn't hungry at all on my pre-op diet of liquids for 2 weeks. I had to force myself to eat. I was usually only having about one shake a day. The weight flew off. But its not the easy after surgery. I wasnt hungry for about 2 weeks after, but then I wanted to eat everything! I was sasified with the food I was eating and I wasnt starving, but man I wanted to eat more and more. It was head hunger. The is what kills me the most.
  23. I was also banded 5/17 and havent exercised at all! Today will be my first day back to the gym... I am kind of worried about it because my personal trainer tends to kick my ass. Am i really ready for this?!?! Guess I will find out soon! lol I also cant think about hitting the gym after being on my feet all day at work, but once you get into the groove of it it gets better. Maybe try 2 days a week and start from there. Best of luck :-)
