  1. You should be able to drink Water normally 3 weeks post-op! I really dont know much about running and need the carbs for energy, hopefully someone will be able to help you with that question. You should be fine with the water though :-) Thats awesome that you can run that much already!
  2. This is one rule I do break. I try not to but its way to hard for me! It doesnt seem to effect me any differently with how long I stay hungry for.
  3. Well I will be doing my waiting in the gym then :-)
  4. You dont need to count calories or journal the rest your life. But i think it helps during the start of your weight loss or if your stuck with the weight loss. Just some friendly advice after looking at your band date and weight loss so far. GOOD LUCK!
  5. Thanks! The scale is stuck and it wont move out of the 270s ! I dont ever remember seeing 260s! 3 more pounds!
  6. I wish it was this easy for me :-( I have to journal everything and work out crazy to even lose a little bit of weight :-(
  7. GREAT JOB!!! I couldnt be more jealous. haha
  8. Im allowed to get fills whenever I need them. I had my 2nd fill just under 2 weeks apart from each other.
  9. Oh I think this is def a diet! You said you lost 50 pounds eating normal.. you should feel good about that. Im almost at the 50 pounds mark and I have busted my butt to get where I am. I eat right all the time and I work out 5 or 6 times a week for at least an hour. The weight is coming off slow, but its going at least. But I work so hard for those two pounds a week if im lucky! I would agree this is for sure a diet to me but on this diet I stay full and thats the only difference that I noticed.
  10. I am a month and a half out and still get shoulder pain. Its not from the gas, its something else, my doctor explained it to me, but I couldnt tell you what! haha its something you just have to live with.
  11. I try not to drink with my meals but I usually end up doing it anyways. I stay full for the same amount of time either way.
  12. I love coffee and im allowed to have it... good luck without it :-) Im having problems with the no pop... everytime I see it i just want to drink soooo much of it but couldnt!
  13. This is normal... take deep breathes it will get better!
  14. I think you should try out what she has to say. I eat between 1000-1200 cals a day. I aim for 1500 but its hard. My trainer told my I am eating for someone half my size and that my body is using my muscle because I am not eating enough food. He told me I need to eat more! Its hard with the band because I get full pretty quickly. I am usually eating every 2-3 hours even though I am not hungry but it is boosting my metabolism. Try it for a couple weeks and see if you get the results you are looking for. Does your trainer take your body fat? Is it lowering? My stayed the same but I was losing weight, this is when I got the stern talking to about eating more! Good luck!
  15. You should be fine! I think its good to treat your self every once in awhile. Last week I ate some fast food for the first time in MONTHS! I lost 5 pounds this week... one little thing wont hurt you, youll be fine!
  16. I dont pay attention to the size of my bites. Granted I dont stuff food in my mouth in huge huge bites like I use to but no i def dont cut my stuff as small as an eraser.. that sounds nuts!!! You might just not be able to handle eggs that way, every band is different!
  17. I eat the 100 cal pack popcorn all the time... I was never told no popcorn.
  18. I have a hard time not drinking with meals. During breakfast and lunch I dont drink but with dinner I have to. I dont drink enough fluids, Im lucky if I get one bottle of Water down a day. Its just hard for me, normal water is ick and if i put crystal light in there everytime I feel like my teeth are going to fall off!
  19. It will seem worth it once the weight starts coming off. I have gotten two fills im at 6cc with a 10cc band. I can eat anything I want.. I just choose not to. I still eat bread, Pasta, rice, but i eat them whole grain or wheat and in moderation. Since your on normal food already maybe you should try tracking your food. It really does help!
  20. I tried doing the same thing before surgery, it lasted like a few bites haha. I have 6cc in a 10cc band and I am still able to eat anything and I dont cut my food into small bites and chew tons of times but I do stay full for the amount of time I should be, i eat a lot less and I am losing the weight! Before I got banded I hated the fact that I had to eat the way most bandsters do, but I was willing to do it for the weight loss! Now that I am banded I am pretty happy that I dont have to eat like that, im not saying this will last forever, but I am enjoying it while I can! Dont focus so much on changing the way you eat right now, everyone is different and once you get the band it will force you to eat that way if you have to!
  21. It doesnt sound like your eating enough. My personal trainer told me that I need to be eating more, the way I am eating is for a 130 pound person and my body is using my muscle instead of the food. Try eating more, i eat every 3 hours even though I am not hungry I still make myself eat something little. I lost five pounds this week so it must be working!
  22. Dont be scared! i was so scared my first fill and it was nothing!!! A tiny pinch and its over with!
  23. Going to try for 25... aggressive yes, but I need something to push me!
  24. Can you call your doctor and tell them whats going on and see if you can get a fill sooner? I gained 2 pounds one week and called my doc. I got my 2nd fill two weeks after my first one because my swelling went down a few days after my first till. All i did was call the office and they told me to come in that day!
