  1. Hello! I'll be a month banded on Friday and I'm feeling pretty much the same as you. I can see I am eating more than 4oz's but I have no restriction yet, first fill is on the 27th. Hope to hear from you more!
  2. I actually want to thank you for asking this. My first fill is April 27th and I'm going on vacation May 5th. I'm kind of nervous about this but I still want to go. I'm going to tell my surgeon that I'm going on vacation a week afterward so maybe she wont fill as much.
  3. I would think it's because you are not eating as much so instead of getting light headed you get a little naush!?!? Hope the medicine helps some.
  4. I should start measuring, I keep forgetting to do that! Congrats on the inches lost!!!
  5. Just moved onto my pureed/moist meat phase Breakfast I had 2 eggs scrambled with some cheese and ketchup Snack I'm about to have half of my Protein shake lunch I'll probably have tuna salad Snack Finish up my Protein Shake dinner I might try some fat free cheese ravioli (sides cut off) with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese (yay)!
  6. Congrats!!! Those are HUGE accomplishments.
  7. Honestly I do like Crystal Light but it worries me a little bit that if I get some on my hand or on the counter it stains it, what is it doing to my insides?!?! I also get a bad stomach ache from some of the flavors.
  8. Hey everyone!!! So today I moved onto Phase 3 of my after surgery diet, I can now eat fat free cheese and spinach ravolli and thinly sliced deli meat and soft small moist meat, very exciting!! I don't have my first fill till April 27th I'm actually a little nervous about it and might tell my doctor to keep it small since I'll be going on vacation a week afterward. I don't want my first stuck or sick episode to be on Mickey Mouses face :-X I might get banned from Disney!! Good luck to those getting their first fills and glad to see everyone is doing well. Congrats on the weight losses and everything else we've achieved. I'm actually still in shock that I'll be banded a full month of Friday!!!
  9. Mine was a simple denial. They needed 6 month of diet history which I was told I did not need but that's a different story. So 6 months later I handed in my sheet and was approved within a week.
  10. I've heard of this but don't really know what it is. Hope everything went well today, can't wait to hear about it.
  11. Honestly I think I see more people on this site who have this surgery as an outpatient. I feel like I might of been one of the few who actually had to stay over night. Honestly if they told me for some reason that I had to go home that day I would of been fine. Good luck with everything!!!
  12. Sorry I missed this but hope everyone's surgery went well today!!! Can't wait to hear about it.
  13. I would maybe call a surgeons office and ask them.
  14. I understand how you're feeling. I feel like I'll never feel that satisfaction again but I know I just have to keep moving forward and keep my chin up, things will get better. Guess we never realized how much food controlled our life.
  15. The only person who's actually asked me if I use my machine was my sleep apnea doctor. I was told to bring my machine to the hospital though because some anesthesiologists like the patients to wake up from surgery with it on or even have it worn during surgery. I REFUSED to wear the full mask because I felt the same way, like I was going to suffocate so they gave me the nasal pillows which I can tolerate. Honestly I feel good in the morning when I sleep with it and real crappy if I don't use the machine. The guy who came over to set up the machine when I first got it told me to wear it during the day if you are just sitting on the couch or sitting around reading or watching TV, it helps you get used to it, maybe you can try that? Hopefully everything works out! Good luck.
  16. I would ask your surgeon what he or she thinks. I was told all piercings had to be removed, no questions asked.
  17. I was diganoised with PCOS a few years ago as well. Basically the doctor told me it was something to do with a hormone inbalance and it was the main reason for me not getting my period. From what I gather on the web (cause I really don't have a full understanding of it either) it's also enlarged ovaries that contain numerous small and painless cysts. My doctor also said I would have issues getting pregnant, I haven't tried yet so I don't know how true this is. I too was put on metformin and I ended up being allergic to it. Hope this helped a little. Oh ever since about February when I was really getting nervous about the surgery and losing weight I've been getting my period regularly. So there is hope! :-)
  18. Thank you! I might try this.
  19. So far I've lost a little over the amount of cheese an average American eats in a yea. This is before liquid diet.
  20. The only pill I had to crush was my pain pill (Vicodin) and I tried it crushed once and couldn't do it. I was told I could cut the pills up (real small) and take them that way.
  21. First off congrats and good luck!!! I was banded on Tuesday and on that Sunday I had a engagement party and felt fine! Just be sure not to over do it too much! I was not allowed cream soups on my liquid diet afterward but was allowed them on my mushy phase as long as the chunks were drained out. I would call your surgeons office and check because each doctor differs.
  22. i didn't like the isopure at all, it left really funky tastes in my mouth.
  23. Congrats and good luck!!! Please let us know how it goes.
  24. It all depends on your insurance and your surgeon. Good luck with everything!!!
