  1. I had my first fill today...just need to know if I am thinking about this correctly. I had 3 cc's put in but that doesn't mean there is 3 cc's in the band right? I mean doesn't the tubing have to fill up before there would be Fluid in the actual band?? Thanks for the help.
  2. I am two weeks out from being banded....is it normal to have lots of pulling and soreness where my port is attached? I think it is where the port is however, I can't feel it. I assume it is the port. Does this mean a possible flip? I am flipping out. I should probably say I am trying to be careful but I have a set of two year old twins,,,,, Help.....
  3. Anyone??? It's dinner time and I want to eat something....
  4. I have a quick question.... I am on the second week of a liquid diet. I am allowed yogurt, cream of wheat, strained cream Soups etc. So do you think some ricotta cheese (thinned out) and tomato sauce would be okay?? Thanks
  5. Thsisme, Thanks so much for responding....I am worried. I have been laying flat ( I will use pillows from now on) but it just happened again while getting up from for a sitting position. It is awful.
  6. I was banded on Thursday. I have been able to handle the pain. So here is the problem: everytime I lay down to rest and then get up I get SUPER nauseated. I haven't thrown-up. Why is this only happening when I wake up or get-up ? It is scaring me!!! I called my doc and he called in a stronger anti-nausea med. Has this happenend to anyone else? Thanks so much, Melinda P.S. I have had nothing today except Water, apple juice, and a popsicle.
  7. I would love to join you. I was banded yesterday so this is all new to me. But would love some support on this journey.
  8. I am new to this site andI had my surgery yesterday! So far everything is going great. I have been getting all my fluids in...it is unusual to not feel any restriction with liquids right after surgery. I feel like I could drink forever. I guess I am just worried I know the band is in there cause I have a picture of it and the wounds to prove it....but I don't feel any different on the inside. Thanks for the help.
  9. I am new to this site and considering Lapband. I was curious if some of you could compare the pain after lapband surgery to the pain after gall bladder surgery. Just trying to gear myslef up for what to expect. Thanks.
