  1. After 3 1/2 years, I have very little appetite for food! The thought, makes me go yuck! I eat mostly fish, had baby calves liver lastnight. It was very tender and I was able to eat it, and digest it fine. It was the only "red" meat I have eaten recently. I was at a convention this week, and they fixed some pork, it was good, too. I don't miss most foods, now! Karen
  2. Join us often! best wishes to your surgery!Karen

  6. FlRosie, I am sure that is a personal choice,(chocolate). I drink coffee, and tea was recommended afters surgery. Karen
  7. My surgeon's office says we need 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids after a fill/unfill. Try to go on liquids for a day or 2. Good Luck to you! Karen
  8. My own surgeon, also, id gallbladder surgery for my daughter, and fixed things for my son while he was doing lapband surgery for him. My daughter's gallbladder surgery was performed a few months before her lapband surgery, but he probably can and would do it at the same time, check with him/her to see if your surgeon will! Karen
  9. Calm down, back away from the scale! Healing!!!!Karen
  10. Ya'll make me grin! . I sometimes have gurgling for gurgling sake! Sometimes I gurgle for hunger, but not usually! Karen
  11. ((((hugs)))), call your surgeon's office. Karen
  12. Have you ever thought that you did not need this new fill? Others have never had a fill and have lost all the weight they needed to just by following the plan. Since you are doing so well, why did you get a fill? Well, it sounds liek you have a wise surgeon and are a wiser patient. best wishes!!! Karen
  13. What the others said is true. Even liquids need to be taken slowly, as b-52 said it is like a funnel, and you need to sip even liquids. Best wishes, Karen
  14. NJHAMAT, I too enjoyed your post! I only eat chicken that has sauce on it. Fish is my best friend! You are doing fantastic! Best wishes. Karen
  15. My 1st fill was at 6 weeks, I think it was about 2 or 3 cc. Mine surgeon won't fill if he feels, with an interview sheet, that you don't need it.
  16. You don't need to dissolve the protein powder in liquid if you put the milk, or liquid, in the blender before teh powder. I use about 1/2 full of ice, and then, pretty much like Terry's concoction! Best wishes on your smoothy search! Karen
  17. Hi, bojangles0, Pre-diet does not ,usually, depend on your weight. I would never say never, because surgeons are different everywhere. Not all surgeons even require the pre-diet shrinking of the liver. However, most are about 2 weeks. Mine was 2 weeks of protein shakes. Other people, I know, have had only to eat Atkins diets. Best of luck, follow your surgeon's rules. Join us here, we are friendly, if not very active! Karen
  18. NSV's around on this post! Yea!Karen
  19. Soon, yest very soon! I am sure that the weight will show soon! Good luck, you have done MARVELOUSLY!
  20. Best wishes, Sweetnana1, I had a slip back 1 1/2 years ago. The surgeon did an readjust of teh band without having to replace it. If you are on medicare, (at least 2 years ago), they will pay for replacement if needed. Best wishes. Karen
  21. God bless, and Happy Monday to you, too!
  22. Congrats! can't wait to see pics! Sneezing must hurt!Take care
  23. Yay! Rosie! You did the right thing for yourself and maybe for your casual friend, too! Your children needed to know. Do you have a living will? My hospital, and surgeon suggested one. It doesn't have to be elaborate. Do it for your peace of mind and your family's. But, enjoy this and stay focused on the goal! Best wishes, always, Karen
  24. I agree with Grammy and with carolinagirl! I weighed about 118 when marring my hubby. I went up/down over the 44 years we have been together. Weight should not be about what he loves about you! Karen (my highest was 255)
