Getting nervous and low grade fever

My surgery is 3 days away and I've had a low grade fever for three days. So scared they are going to cancel my surgery! I have planned for this so much. I think it's the stress and anxiety causing the fever. Is that possible?

Call my surgery doc or regular doc?

Stress can't cause a fever. A fever is the body's natural reaction to virus or illness.

Call your surgeon and let him know.

Even if he does reschedule your surgery it's a good thing. Getting surgery with an infection or illness can be extremely dangerous.

I was given antibiotics via IV during the surgery.

It's kind of a good thing this happened, just for the fact that you need to be willing to call your doctor about anything. They are there to help you through your journey. Don't be afraid to call them.

I've had stress cause a fever as well as TOM. My body just gets run down and up pops a low grade fever. Just follow your doctors instructions.
