  1. My sentiments exactly, it takes the same amount of struggles to lose with the LapBand, you still have to maintain and eat the right things, eat when and often and concentrate on chewing, water, vitamins, exercise. Come On this is work people, the LapBand is our TOOL Not the magic bullet!

  2. Did you discuss HOW they (the Family) could support you with food habits before you had the surgery? If not, then I know you want to blame someone, but is it really fair to blame them??? I understand how frustrating it can be. I usually just get up and go take a shower while my husband has food he likes and knows it will temp me or that I can't have it. I don't resent them for it, I am the one who has the eating disorder and the weight problem. I am the one who made this decision, and I did it for ME and I still do it for ME and no one else. They probably don't care (family) if you did this or not, they will be proud of you eventually so just stick to the plan and go with it, YOU will be happy in the end! Trust me, I am praying for you to heal and feel better in your spirit. and that your family will learn what to do and how to understand where you are right now.

  3. A fill will help you to start dropping the weight and I know that the first year is the year in which we lose the most weight with the band, but it is a decision you have to make. I KNEW when I had enough and I actually took out some the last time I went in, a .02CC unfill, not that much, but just wanted that Sweet Spot back and now I KNOW when I am full and I can not eat anymore. I use to lose at least 2 lbs per week, and at the end of 13 mos. I am seeing ozs instead of lbs, but it is ok. It is for life for me. Hopefully the acid will stay away, I use to keep Prilosec in business, LOL

  4. Just curious but did you have a lot of convulsing and vomitting? That could have caused it! I am about 13 months post band and doing ok, I wish I had lost more by now of course like most. I feel like I start over every day with the band. It is a life thing, and I know it is hard to take, but if you lost that much weight with it, it was very successful for you. Thanks for posting this, we are here for you and will encourage you if we can, as you do the same for us. Those who are experiencing even the difficult times and share are helping others who have or may have the same things happen to them.

  5. Thanks Winks! It is going to be, will post photos soon too. And Copa~I NEVER imagined I would buy a dress 10 sizes smaller than I wore just a year ago. Yes it could be a little less snug in places and IT WILL BE! When I reach my goal just 29 more lbs, I am going to celebrate with a nice cruise with my husband and wear this gown again! We have an Anniversary coming up soon next March to be exact, and that is my goal to reach my goal by then! Thanks you guys!

  6. Yes I too noticed that the contestant wanna be's were very young and so big. I too thought that the challenges were too streneous for the first trial to get to the ranch. And the humiliation for the ONLY one who did not make it was HUGE! I felt sorry for the girl who could not breathe and passed out, and the man, I thought he had broken his arm when he landed on it like that. Lord Ya'll I DON"T think I could live through that pace of exercise and on that small amount of food they get, I think it would kill me.

  7. Thanks Guys I really MUST learn to let go a little and enjoy some of the good things in life, you are right! It is too hard to ALWAYS avoid everthing good, Like Crunch 'n Munch. That was the Buttery Toffee with Popcorn and Peanuts kind! LOL Even the name is dripping with FAT and calories. Oh Well, it is over and in the past, Love you all, thanks so much.

  8. Yes and I stayed that way for two weeks, I was so miserable. Everything was coming up if I ate anything solid. I did go in for an unfill of .o2 CC's, just that little and it made a world of difference for me. I asked for it!!! I never thought I would, cause I felt like I was failing the band, the Dr., and most of all myself. But you will get more weight loss by eating right, I began to lose after that and felt good too. I was getting my electrolites off and out of kilter, felt dizzy too and not getting enough of the right kinds of protiens and vitamins that you get from food. If it does not let up soon see the Dr. you could also have hair loss problems if you don't. You have done an awesome job so far, 55 lbs that is great! I am 94 down in 13 mos, so I am proud too, the loss slows down the last six months or so, that is when I get into more exercise to tone the skin! God Bless You.

  9. Hey so nice to see a face! But I admit I did like your Avatar too, it was so cute. Well now we can see who we are blogging with, and getting to know! I really look forward to seeing your posts and getting your comments!

  10. So happy to hear the Cancer Free! I had a bout with Colon Cancer back in 2003 and every year I have a Colonoscopy in December, my Christmas present to myself! Before I had the LapBand back in March 2009 there were two Cancerous Polyps and I had them removed. Then I had the Band and so far no cancer! Thank God. I like the way I feel and look too! You keep on with that determination, nothing can stop us now!

  11. Hi I am just curious? Did your policy have a provision for WLS? I had BC & BS and they would not pay a thing for me. I am so happy for you!!! You have every right to feel the emotions that you feel, I felt them all. You will be fine and so happy that you did this surgery. I have done well, and feel great about 14 months out.
