  1. huh? I think I had stored up a lot of energy to live on. edie:scared:
  2. Wow ayers , that was one powerful post. I wanted to post that along with wills and power of attorneys , my hubby and I have living wills. We also have appointed a third party to carry out our wishes if we both get hit in the head with a frying pan at the exact same time . lol sounds suspicious to me edie
  3. I had depression too. This isn't a trick but when I wanted to eat all the time, I started counting calories. Dang it I didn't want to go back into diet mode but I also wanted to succeed. I would cut myself off at around 1000 to 1100 and then let myself eat sf popsicle (banana from Krogers my fav) to fill up on. I ignored the calories for these because I would only eat 1 or two of them. I also found Orville Reddbacher Carmel Popcorn cakes for 40 cal each very filling. After a few weeks I could quit counting because I was in a routine and would know when to stop. After my first fill it was easy. I thought I had restriction after surgery but was I in for a surprise. I had my first fill 6 weeks after surgery. Just 2 fills in all. My doctor must have been aggressive with fills. I do not know any numbers for my fills or band. Tonight I ate 3/4 of small corn on the cob with lots of butter. I ate half a small chicken leg with lots of bbq sauce. That was at 5 pm and at 830 I am stilll not hungry. Hope this helps and wish I had tricks. edie
  4. I am so impressed with the responses you have recieved. We have some smart experienced people here. edie
  5. Carlene , Something else you are doing is passing on helping your fellow man. These stray humans will help someone elso too and on and on and on. How does that saying go it takes a village to raise a child. Good for you. edie
  6. Sheree, I know how you feel too. I usually put my threads (if I have any) after midnight so you know what happens to them. I look for threads without any response because been there done that. Don't worry about being noticed for the wrong reason . No one and I mean no one is perfect except for Alex :clap2: that is providing this free site for us . edie
  7. Mine was 7 days I think on liquids. Then I switched to cottage cheese, creamy soups , pudding. I did not do much for 7 days either. edie
  8. It is SO cool. I did percentages too. I also started staring at the free weights at my gym and thought to myself if I strapped 50 lbs weight on me, how HARD it would be to carry it all the time. Getting out of the car, the bed and (lol) up off the floor would take much effort. I remember. I thought my weight wasn't really keeping me down. I was in denial. Keep up the good job, edie
  9. Just a few suggestions... Try eating extra slowly. Nibble at your food. Maybe for some reason apple sauce is going to be a food you cannot tolerate. Try some other foods. edie

  18. This site does help. I live in a small town in KY and I don't know anybody who has a band. If I didn't have this site I would be going crazy waiting for my doctor to get back to me. Good luck, edie

  22. I had this too. It eventually led me to counting my calories. I hated being back on a diet. Then the craving and what is in the fridge feelings left me. So maybe give yourself some time .... edie

  24. I have had enough in the news of the following groups. KKK , skin heads and I even cringe when I see a confederate flag. I also cringe when I see any anorexic starlet in the news. Bad influence on young girls. edie
