  1. So we're told that we have to drink, drink, drink. So I am drinking, drinking, drinking. BUT, not to give too much TMI Fluid in is not equaling fluid out. I'm swollen like a tick. I even ate some watermelon last night as that ususally pushes right through, but it isn't happening. Now what?
  2. Well the watermelon was a BIG mistake. It's an hour later and I'm STARVING. I haven't had any carbs in two months and I think the carbs from the watermelon triggered my hunger. Dang! I am missing the summer fruit and watermelon is so refreshing.
  3. You'll feel better in your own home. Take it one day at a time.
  4. Not experiencing this, but how long before you go to bed do you stop eating and drinking? I thought I read somewhere you should wait 3 hrs.
  5. I'm so sorry that it has been so difficult for you. I hope it gets easier soon.
  6. I've used goo be gone to get labels off of glasses and the like. I never thought of using it on my skin. I wear hormone patches and it leaves an adhesive residue every week. I've tried baby oil and it doesn't work. I've tried alcohol too. I guess I'll have to try goo be gone.
  7. Will do. Remind me again tomorrow.
  8. I just had a piece of watermelon. It was divine. I saw it on the list of allowed somewhere. I put it in my mouth and sucked on it.
  9. I made a cold avocado soup and a salmon souffle. I could only eat a few bites of each, but boy was it yummy.
  10. I know the doctors have to learn on someone, but I don't want it to be me. I'd want a doctor with a lot more experience with the sleeve than that. Are you forced to use him due to insurance or can you choose someone else?
  11. I got weak and shakey because I could not stomach any of the proteins. I finally contacted the doctor's office and she said I could have the protein shakes after one week. I only did the shakes and did not go on to full liquid until the end of the ten days. If you can hack it, I'm sure it would be better for you. If you can't, contact the doctor's office and see what they say.
  12. This is not something you bargain shop for.
  13. Don't buy as much as you think. I overbought. I've got broth coming out of my ears. I bought lots of different flavors of crystal lite and now I find they are all too sweet except for the diluted lemon flavor. You're going to want to get out and have excursions anyway.
  14. A pound or two a day? Sheesh, you guys. You're doing great. I'm jealous. I go a few days and then drop a pound and then maybe another the next day and then nothing for a while.
  15. No. I just felt something deep in my chest like when I have bronchitis. It got better after I coughed up the gunk. You sound as though allergies might be getting to you. Have you tried Claritin?
  16. Six pounds in ONE day? Way to go!! I would dearly love a surprise like that one.
  17. I coughed up a bunch of gunk for a few days after the surgery. I'm sure that is a good thing. Getting it out of the lungs is the purpose of the breathing exercises.
  18. I just got home. My daughter took me out to celebrate (hubby is working out of state). We saw Terry Fator. He'd won America's got Talent, but I never saw him on the show. It was one of the better shows I've seen. We laughed for an hour and a half. I posted a photo of me as we were getting ready to leave.
  19. Today is my birthday. I'm 65. It's hard for me to believe that because I don't feel it. I also feel as though I've had a rebirth. This surgery is giving me a new lease on life because I'm finally on my last diet ever. I'm going to diet to lose the weight and then just eat healthily after that. The sleeve will allow me to do that because if the restriction. That is what I've needed all of my life. I see some people here who have been discouraged by spouses, family etc. because they are 'too old'. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you are 'too old' for ANYTHING in life. I have plans for at least twenty-five more years and I'm going to leave it dancing.
  20. For about a week and a half I had trouble sleeping too. It went away. It was weird.
  21. Anybody hear from her? Her surgery was scheduled for 6/17.
  22. Dr. Aceves' office sent me that via email. I think it is in their documentation too.
  23. My favorite new show is on TLC, I think. It has Buddy the Baker. I think it is called something like Buddy the boss or something like that. They are magicians with cake decorating. It is fascinating. It is so creative and that is how I look at it. I'm not even wanting the cake I just love watching them.
  24. I wish this were available to me forty years ago. You are lucky for this opportunity. It would have saved me forty years of yo-yo dieting.
  25. If they weren't typical teenagers we'd never want them to leave home. I keep telling people that you like them again when they turn 22.
