  1. Go Jenn GO Jenn Go Jenn... Go!Go!Go! You are an exercise queen!!!!!!!!!
  2. Sometimes the ones who sabotage us the most are the ones closest to us. Just know that the problem is HIS insecurity with the issue not yours. I can't even imagine being 105 lbs.. so maybe it was more the fact that you may have looked too thin and he was worried you were becoming aneorexic or something... I don't know. Do what your doc says, after all that is why he makes the big bucks!
  3. Great Question! Thanks for answering Julie!
  4. GOOD MORNING VIOLETS!!!!!!!!!!!! I am down inching ever closer to the 230's.. I had really wanted to be in the 230's by June 1, but oh well............ it's not a race.. its a life change.. (that is what I keep telling myself) Jennifur: Good luck on the job hunt today. I think taking a bar cert could be good, but you won't be able to drink at work which is also good.. and I know that if you pick the right place to tend bar you can make a killing! We are having a big wind storm today and my electricity went off while I was in the shower....... it is still off..... but I'm at work.... NO HAIR DRYER, NO COFFEE, NO MORNING NEWS.. my entire routine is shot!!!!! The only good thing is that the scale went down.... so I'll take it.
  5. HELLO Ard! You are doing great.
  6. My personal experience with losing weight in general is that the weeks you don't lose pounds you lose inches. Takes a bit for one to catch up with the other. 7 pounds in a week is AWESOME, and could be your entire month of loss with no problem.. (going with the 1-3 pound a week average)
  7. TracyK.. YOU ARE GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can see a big difference! Yes the pork steak went down ok... it was super duper tender in the crock pot with ranch dressing cooked all over it (was going to bake it, but I opted for the crock when I was home at lunch) I was full pretty quick but hungry a couple hours later so I had a few strawberries and vanilla icecream.. (just a little was enough to tide my sweet tooth)
  8. this is going to sound weird but grab your belly and shake it.... shake it up and then walk it out.... also go do a search for the petho postion by babygotback... I don't see her here much anymore, but she had a very good technique..... GOOD LUCK>..... shake baby shake!
  9. I felt mine the first time about two weeks after surgery....... its not where I thought it was, so I was suprised......... I think it is cool.. if it ever gets to the point that it is scaring small children I will have a low profile port installed in its place.
  10. I'm skipping 2 pages of posts just to say......... HELLO THERE! I mainly post on the shrinking violets thread in the general discussion boards........ COME ON OVER WE ARE A BUNCH OF BIGMOUTHS! LOL I think the main this is to just jump in and post....... I will admit that before surgery I DEVOURED each and every thread, and now that I'm IN IT I don't as much.... I just had my first fill on Monday June 4, so thats where I am in my journey... and CHICKIE.................. I do like your posts and your pics are SOOOOO inspirational, but I don't like exercise, BUT I KNOW I WILL LEARN TO LIKE IT EVENTUALLY LOL My advice to all people in this same situation.. is just to POST, POST, POST!
  11. I would think it would be ok as long as your past the healing stage... but let us know what you find out!
  12. Margi I see you!!! How are you doing today?
  13. CONGRATS LAURA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lucy: 8 pounds is great! Haydee: your breakfast sounds Yummy.. I forgot to ask you how the trip went? I just had some pork steak for dinner and I am definately feeling restriction! I also cut up some strawberries and maybe later for a snack I might try a few, but really I think that now I will have them for breakfast! (thanks to Haydee for making me crave the berries!) DBF had a dinner meeting so he is not home... DS is outside my bedroom window batting leaves off trees.... He keeps looking over at me seeing if I'm noticing him... BUSTED! TracyK: GREAT JOB ON PIZZA DAY! Michelle: How are you doing today?
  14. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Judy, btw.... on the lose sweater! I don't know if I have restriction or not. For lunch I had leftover meat spaghetti sauce with 5 small crackers... probably about 1 cup of meat mixture. I am full, but I didn't have anyproblem eating it.... now that I think about it.. I ate at 11:30 and its nearly two hours later and I'm still very full....... so maybe I DO have restriction. YIKES Laura...... all this petty bs BEFORE the wedding plans actually start rolling.... I would definately chuck the big fancy contracts and do what is more fitting for you and your SOON TO BE HUSBAND! What ever you decide will be great. Jennifur: I don't think my mom would touch my feet! LOL the only one I can get to rub them is my son who is too young to know better! ROFL!
  15. Wouldn't a lower body lift help this.. or am I wrong in thinking it would?
  16. Thanks for posting your pics! I find it very interesting. This may be in my future in a couple years......... even swollen you belly looks AWESOME!
  17. Good morning Violets! Jennifur: I'd love to see your cute little hearts on your toes! Laura: Like others have said.. It's YOUR WEDDING! period, congrats on the early fill. Lucy: I didn't get numbed first..... he just said there will be one needle stick.. and that was it. Kat: Check in when you can!!! You are one hawt grannie! TracyK: I am also a lover of water aerobics, its the only kind of exercise that I actually ENJOY! I thought I might try a lunch bunch here in town at the local swimming pool, but I don't know if I could really get away with taking such long lunches, and getting wet and coming back to work. In the evenings, I have my little guy so right now that option is out. MontGirl: Glad to see you jumping in and posting. I am trying real food today, and I'm a little nervous about it... need to get that water in. How is everyone today???
  18. I actually voted for the midwest because it would be easy for me, but I have to agree that the lodging and airfares would be the cheapest and most available.......... I am on a budget.
  19. Hey Judy! You are the Violets model bandster!!!!! I just know you and DH are going to end up on the cover of some magazine or commercial for your doc! I'm a little peppy tonight... I guess the tomatoe soup perked me up.. LOL
  20. OH>............. what Pamela said!!!!! YES YES YES... I ate half of a large size pizza on friday night AND a salad.. (thin crust but still) I HAVE FALLEN AND CAN'T GET UP!!!!!! I am HORRIBLE at self sabotage... there I said it.. I ate HALF a KING SIZE PIZZA FROM PIZZA SHOP and a salad WITH THE PINK STUFF........ and I lived to tell about it. (it was a mental, I gotta have it before my fill weak spot) I'm not proud..... I felt like a band failure afterward and I felt sick......BUT I GOT UP and dusted my badonkabutt off and went on with life......... and you will too.......... we are not in this for the short term it is a long haul baby so step on the bandwagon of our lives and get comfy! Any lurkers......... SHOW YOURSELVES!!!!!!! Just because some of us have bigger mouths than others (I'm talking about me) doesn't mean we don't care about whats going on in your journey..... some of our lost sisters.. SARA! I calling you out honey! Get your sotted butt in here! Jump in a post.. the good the bad and the totally freaking wonderful! OK?
  21. WELCOME to our little spot on the net!!!!! 43lbs is WONDERFUL!!!! Have you had a fill yet? HEY PANDA!! Gr8: thanks maybe I am glowing... I almost broke down and told him but I refrained because I would be paying for it FOREVER. Jennifur: Don't sweat the small stuff sweetie.... we will all face those who are jealous and those who will try to sabotage us. KEEP ON KEEPING ON Lunasa: HUGS TO YOU WOMaN!!!! Yes, Yes, Yes.. I felt just like you did until I got my first fill.. and now I am blissfully full after a bowl of tomato soup and a few crackers..... EVERYONE: Have a great evening!!! I am baking pork steak tomorrow so I hope it goes down easy.. (I bake in on 250 for at least 2 hours in a glass pan with the Ragu roasted garlic alfredo sauce) it is soooo tender and so delicious.. sometimes if I have them I add a can of mushrooms. My son eats it by the shovel when I make it. which is not often because dbf doesn't eat pork. I am hoping for good news tomorrow... after todays SHOCK I am once again pumped!
