Pamela: My docs office told me to eat whatever I felt like before the fill because after, I would be on mushies. For those of you who remember...... I have NOT told my boss that I had surgery. I was able to take 2 days of PTO and come back the following monday. Yesterday was my fill and I just told him I was taking a long lunch........ He is 60+ years old and mostly thinks of me as his daughter.... Anyway today he comes in my office and asks me... Boss "Trace, can I ask you something?" Me: "I don't know... WHAT?" Boss "Just tell me, OK?" Me: "WHAT?!" Boss: "Trace... are you pregnant?" Me: "WHAT!?!?!?" <<spit, snort, gasp>>... NO!!!! Boss "Well Balls I didn't mean to offend you, but you can tell me if you are!" Me: "NO DAN!! MY CHILDBEARING DAYS ARE BEHIND ME!" (and here I thought I'd LOST weight!! )

Good morning Violets! I don't know how, why or what........ but I hit a new low today! The 230's are just on the horizon for me! Gotta catch up with Denise My docs office uses two bands, the 10cm (that holds 4 cc's of fluid) or the VG band that holds 10cc's. I have the 10cm band and my fills are every 4 weeks. Patients that have the VG band can get a fill every 2 weeks. I am drinking my coffee right now and getting ready to fix a protein shake.. not really hungry so maybe I do have restriction. I don't think you failed your band in year two.......... I would view to maintain a solid weight for a year a utter TRIUMPH! (but that is my problem and will be my challenge and goal) I think it is truly wonderful that you have rekindled a new fire in your belly to go all the way! I applaud you and hopefully when I'm in year two I will be able to get to the same point you've come to.

soooo very proud of you gals! Julie did you manage to snap some pics?????? Got my first fill today, and I'm looking down at my belly wondering if it did anything! I had been avoiding the scale because I have been eating so badly...... at the docs office I lost 4 oz's! LOL

TracyK: I agree.. the ONE taco is fine.. truly it is... (for me.... one taco would turn into ONEdozen) no exageration.. so with the band if I can eat ONE taco and be full.......... well that would be pure bliss! I watched that show on TLC called Big medicine, and it was mainly about RNY patients but still........ their battle is our battle... I could be that 600 lb guy fighting for his life...... but I'm not............ I could be the young hot thang who is having plastic surgery and showing that belly ring....... but I won't be her either........ I will be ME.. and getting there (wherever there is) the journey is ME.. and keeping it off will always be my true test......... OK.. so the show made me all introspective and deep... I also waxed my brows so ... maybe I pulled a few to many short hairs! YOWS... but 1/2 cup of SF pudding and 1 sf popsicle and I'm soon to be heading to bed..... one more day and night of liquids......... I'm DOING it!

Gina: I hope you get restriction on Thursday! I am sitting here on the puter while the family eats a fast food dinner. I thought I had some tomato soup but I don't. I did make some SF pudding with some Carb Countdown milk. It is packed with a bunch of protien... I ate a bit and still feel like I could eat more. I need to get back into diet mode... maybe tomorrow I will try some softly scrambled eggs........ I'm hoping like Jane that I get the magic restriction. Right now I'm looking at the bandaid on my belly wondering if he missed the tube or something. Michelle: You did so good resisting the carnival food! and the employee luncheon WAY TO GO WOMAN!!!! Dbf hasn't heard anything about the job yet and that is stressing us both out. I mean they put us up in a hotel, paid for our gas and spent 4 hours with him... you'd THINK he'd hear SOMETHING. OK... I'm off to the kitchen to see what I can have.

I just took a big gulp of water without problem....... Man oh man do I hope I get some restriction from this fill! chew chew chew chew....ooops wait, tonight is liquids... sip sip sip :welldoneclap: Kat: I agree with Mini and Pamela... see what Judy says, but it would be better to hold her back now before any of her classmates notice.. I will most likely do this with my son next year. Why set them up to fail? Give them the extra year so that their maturity can catch up.

I say WHAT!?!<O:p></O:p> <O:p</O:p At that time, Darlene (the regular person and also a banded patient) Says.. HEY TRACY ready for your first fill?<O:p</O:p <O:p</O:p The nurse says… “She’s NOT ON THE LIST”<O:p</O:p <O:p</O:p I said……..”I’m NOT LEAVING HERE TIL SOMEONE STICKS ME WITH SOME SALINE!!!!!!” (we all laughed)<O:p</O:p <O:p</O:p I ran into one of the other ladies that got banded the same day as me, and we chatted til I got called back. I have been avoiding the scale because I have been eating so badly, my entire appetite has been back for about two weeks, but I actually lost 4oz’s since my last visit… but the nurse was happy because she told me that usually EVERYONE GAINS the first 4 weeks, and that I was already ahead of the game. <O:p</O:p <O:p</O:p The doc came in with his nurse and He asked if I was nervous….. I said HELL NO.. I’m READY!.. I can EAT ANYTHING! and I almost called Darlene to beg for an earlier appointment. He said.. “wouldn’t of worked” I say……. I KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW that’s why I didn’t bother. (and sighed for dramatic effect! :welldoneclap: ) <O:p</O:p He does his own fills, so he knows right where my port is. He felt it, and popped the needle right in… weird feeling because I felt it hit the spongey part and go in. He filled me up and then put a bandaid on me, had me sit up and drink a few drinks of water to make sure that I wasn’t too tight. <O:p</O:p <O:p</O:p He laughed at me, and said……. I went ahead and gave you the MAX amount of fill I give ANYONE for their first visit… I asked how much and he said 1.5cc’s.<O:p></O:p> <O:p</O:p I raised my thumb and said AWESOME!!!!!!! That will work! <O:p> </O:p> So anyway.. the fill itself took less than 10 seconds… <O:p></O:p> <O:p</O:p I go back in 4 weeks for my next fill. I have to be on full liquids for two days so that my stomach can get used to the fill…… I’m hoping I feel some restriction so that I can begin losing and not ever be hungry. He says the first fill can be unpredictable, I could feel a lot of restriction or I may need another fill for me to notice. My bites are to be NO LARGER than a finger nail……… <O:p</O:p <O:p</O:p So LET THE LOSING BEGIN……… again! TERRI!!!!!!! I can definately tell a difference!

OH........... and I love Taco's, but I really love MY tacos with the skillet fried shells.... (my mom used to make them that way) also Mom's burritos with beans and pork steak ARE TO DIE FOR! Ok.. now I'm craving burrittos!

GOOD MORNING VIOLETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TODAY.... TODAY.... TODAY I get my very first FILL! I am soooooooooooooooo glad. There hasn't been much I CAN NOT EAT....... and there hasn't been much that I HAVE NOT EATEN! The one thing I have stayed true on is NO DIET DR. PEPPER We will not discuss all the crap I've eaten. My portions have been less, but I did gorge on a pizza friday... I was miserable... I pb'd on a sonic pattymelt (just burger.. I did throw away the bun) and my son was horrified.... I was spitting in the bag and sliming too....... he was like.. MOM THAT IS REALLY REALLY REALLY UCKY!! STOP IT PLEASE! I have not weighed because I know I am about 5 pounds UP from my signature so I will face the scale tomorrow and go from there...... Today the official losing begins............ I will let you all know how it goes.

This house needs to be DE-Cluttered especially if we are putting it on the market in the next 6 months... OVERWHELMING feat as the kitchen is currently under construction. HELLO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been simply crazy around here and I have not been weighing til I get my fill on Monday... I can eat anything and it really stinks. All the pup pictures are so CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gr8: I hope my fill goes better than yours! I am so excited to finally begin my restricted journey. Last time I posted we were heading to Columbia for dbf's job interview. It lasted 4 hours! They put us up and paid for our gas. No offer yet, but I'm betting that he gets one next week.......... if he does I will be getting hitched so that I can put everyone on my insurance for the remainder of the year.. and it also means a move to Columbia MO within 12 months (Relocation Package)......... Ya.. I know it doesn't sound all romantic like Laura impeding nuptuals, but I already had my big church wedding many moons ago (1988) and I still ended up divorced. Yes this equals me a teensy bit bitter.. but my divorce was very hard on me it has somewhat screwed up my head for life. These days its different, and dbf have the same goals and ethics about raising kids. To pick up and give up my cushy job, sell my home and move several hours away from my very closeknit family I have to be legally married.... and thats the way I see it. Heck, I may even sell my old ring and pick me out a new one.... I KNOW, I KNOW.......... where is the romance you say? Long gone and been replaced with companionship, shared goals and common sense............ Have a great day!

HOLY HECK.... where have I been????? With the holiday, I had to bust booty on payroll yesterday and today, and out of the BLUE.. dbf has a job interview in Columbia MO tomorrow.. they are putting us up in a hotel tonight so today at lunch I was scrambling around to throw some clothes and swim suits in a bag so we can hit the road as soon as I get home. Teach and Terri: you are both losing pounds! I am boycotting the scale til I get a fill.... which is Monday. I need to go catch up on posts and then clear my office for my day off tomorrow.

I NEED A DAMN FILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can eat and eat and eat. I have not tried bread but I had everything from nachos to cheesecake and I feel like such a failure right now. Denise YOU LOOK GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't even step on the scales today because I have been so bad in eating and my water, so I come here to confess!!!!! Laura: My doc gives us back our carbonated beverages after 4 weeks, but I just told dbf tonight that even though he says its ok, I won't go back to drinking as much dt. dr pepper as I used to ........ I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend. Like Laura I'm getting back on the wagon tomorrow!

my good buddy that had the RNY 4 years ago has the arm issue.. she wears long sleeves... even when dressing fancy (like a lacey see through long sleeve) it holds her arms in.. I LOVE teradactle WINGS!!!!!!!! LOL Thanks Jachut for the info.. I'm going to look it up.

I'm still pre-fill........... but Bad and Ugly Feeling out of control and depressed hopeless growing OUT of my fattest jeans (size 22/24) Good Sense of control and light at the end of the tunnel Already seeing my face change Getting into old clothes sizes 16/18 (stretchy) Feeling like a success and KNOWING this will be the LAST TIME I lose this extra person I'm carrying around.
