OH Juli's Plastic Surgery
Okay, Let's talk details the best I can. He cut off 18 pounds of skin. 15 from my belly. The rest was from my arms and side boobies. He mentioned to my SO that my abs were muscular. Go me! Workout girl that I am. I wonder if I'll get a 6 pack? That's a super goal! I was wearing a 38D bra and know they are so much smaller now but I don't know what size they are going to be. The girls are looking perky though! My booty is tiny, my hips are narrow. And my arms are going to look uber buff when the bruising and stiches heal. Again, because I'm a gym rat and my muscles are tight; I'm so pleased. Which brings me back to the whole thing about working out. It's been my saving grace this entire weightloss process. The relationships I've developed with gym people are amazing, the comfort I get from sweating, the ability to eat chocolate and not gain weight, seeing my body do things it's never done before, and NOW having surgery and being better able to move around I'm so glad. Oh and I had my first poop today. So it's all good. I see my surgeon on Tuesday and hopefully the drains will come out. :blushing:

Lellow and the Torso Lift
Hey kids, I'm up and about finally. I've thanked the 1000's of squats I've done in the last year this week. I've used my legs so much to get around, to sit up, etc. (I'm still fuzzy on the vicodin so if I'm stupid please excuse me.) Josie you'll do really well. promise.

April: Marching into spring
Mrs H. I'm so sorry to hear your news. You are so in my thoughts. My news is that I'm up and around. I've come through the surgery okay and I'm feeling better daily. More later as I feel better. Thanks for your kind thoughts.

OH Juli's Plastic Surgery
Hi everyone. Thanks BG for giving the update. The four drains are hard to deal with and the incisions in my underarms are killing me. My stomach is flatish. It's puffy and swollen though...so "tiny??" I don't know. Truely smaller though. And living. Everyday will be better. Lortab is making my head fuzzy. Thanks for your very kind thoughts. I appreciate it.

Lellow and the Torso Lift
Lellow and Jeni I am so greatful you two are going before me on this and easing my anxiety. I hear you about the bill being paid! YIKES! That's a stressor you don't need this week, but I'm happy you have it sorted out. Lellow, I'll be thinking about you Wednesday as I go to sleep, sending you positive healing thoughts. My to do list this week is as long as my arm. I'm hoping by keeping exceptionally busy I'll not think too much about the surgery. You'll be fine with your eating. Think of it as a reassurance that the band is a really good choice for you, if you ever had any doubts. It's a tool that really helps control the food demons. XO

OH Juli's Plastic Surgery
Well I'm 10 days away from surgery. Today I finish my last assignment for school. I present with my team on line this evening. I started back for my undergraduate degree in 2005 and continued on to get my MBA. It's nearly, just hours away, completed!!!! Then I fly to Las Vegas tomorrow morning for a long weekend to Celebrate. I'll work a week, get my scrips filled, buy pillows, clean the house etc. then have surgery. SURGERY!!! I'm so stoked. I'm not scared yet. I suppose that will come in time. Woot!!!

Yikes, I'm not getting unfilled. I'm just planning on doing liquids for the first couple of days back home. Oh, I should probably tell the hospital that too...note to self. So many notes to self. Sheesh.

Marchies 2yr Bandiversary Month!!!
I feel like I'm drowning in skin. I feel super fit and I am. At spin class I can keep up with the best of um, but I'm still sporting this huge belly for the next 10 days. Wow, I just did the count down. But it's all a process. I don't always feel like I'm drowning, but there are some times when it's the only thing I can think about.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Let's look at 2010. Yeah, I hope to be walking upright by that weekend. Now if you come down for it, I'll happily cheer you on and buy you a gatorade or something after.

Marchies 2yr Bandiversary Month!!!
You need to join us in the cycling thread! There was a LBT woman Stephaine, who did the MS150 last April in Texas too. She's kind of fell off the face of the earth but we heart the heck out cycling. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f81/has-anyone-taken-up-bycyling-35343/index558.html Don't try to read the old stuff, there are a million posts, but jump in and talk about what you're going through. For the most part the gang on there is about 2 years out. Nice to meet you btw.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Let's talk 2010. My spin man trains people for tris. I want to get in on the fun this year, but they are starting just when I have surgery. Since I'll already being the biggest and the slowest I don't want to hold back the group. But next year, uh, maybe. (And I'm going to swear your name the entire time.) Look at you runner girl. I'm so deeply impressed with you. Alison just asked about your PX90 status yesterday. I'll have to report out to her that you are stronger and faster. w00t!

Marchies 2yr Bandiversary Month!!!
Annette, Don't let anyone elses world and decisions make you feel less than you are. There's no reason to make comparisions to other people. It's not like you can go back and change the past. Deal with your future and your now. Look at the all the good you have. There is plenty I'm sure you can pin point. This is all about you and not a thing about her. And tell her when she's putting you down. You don't have to be snarky about it, but saying, "When you say X, I'm not sure you mean for me to hear Y, but I do. Maybe there's a different way to say what you mean?" And hope she didn't mean to put you down or that she gets it instead of coming up with a more clear put down. LOL! Take care and come post more often!

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
BG Step away from the computer. Quit looking for half ironmans. Get your 10 K in. Do your half marathon. Okay, I'm looking at trying to join a multi sport group. Well maybe. They bike, run, and swim. They are A and B riders. I don't know that I could hang with the big boys. I've got to check it out though.

Jeni is altering her body and shedding the extra material!!
I'm taking 6 weeks off work, because I can. I'm looking forward to getting all kinds of things accomplished after the first could of weeks of actually recovering.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Mac, This is personal experience talking...Babygirl will do what she says she will do. If you sign up to anything with her, there is no backing out. That's a good thing if you ask me, but this is also a warning. :frown:
