  1. Deanna Your nutritionist can kiss my peanut loving behind! I do limit myself to about a tablespoon a day of peanut butter, but life wouldn't be worth living without it. --I'm a bit dramatic at times-- I'm so happy to hear you all were thining too regardless of the vitamins. I'm about 5 out of 7 days...or maybe 4.... I just see it on the brush and the drain, but it's getting long too, so I was like have I always shedded this much, but they were shorter hairs or is it really more hair? I hope it slows down. I'm 4 months out from surgery. Annie, how long did you notice before it stopped? OMG, I just looked at your stats! You've lost so much weight since December! Holy Cow! That's amazing! Do you share pictures???????? I'd love to see them! J
  2. BG, I'm a peanut butter FREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow! If they told me I could never eat it again I would die. I typically put it on rice cakes these days, it's the best food in the world. It's raining here too. The sun will come up tomorrow-ala Annie,
  3. Lee, Could you use a spell checker or just proof read? FFS, it's not that hard. But clearly communicating doesn't seem to be a priority.
  4. BG You're pretty funny. You'll get out there soon. EWWWWWW binging on protein drinks. At least eat something that will sit in your pouch and make you feel miserable. I got my hair cut and colored yesterday and my worst fear has been varified. My hairdresser says my hair is thinner!!!! Holy crap! I know I need to be religious about my vitamins and I am not, but I eat a friggen side of beef a day, or so it feels. I eat well over 100 grams of protein EVERYDAY! I know it can be a reaction from the surgery itself. Anyone taking Biotin? Or hell, it could be stress. I'm always stressed with, you know, this crazy life of mine. No bikey until Saturday for me. Maybe on Sunday too, I'll be going out. JC- Dude you are 5 pounds from goal....HOLY COW! That's fantastic! 15 pounds a month average too! I'm amazed!
  5. I know I'm sooooo skinny looking! OH you were talking about the tires! You don't underinflate them by a lot because you'd lose performance but a bit, just to keep them from blowing out. But you also always, ALWAYs have a spare innertube with you. Or so it was beaten into me. Someone will come by with a tire pump, or you get one of those too, and attach it your bike.
  6. They aren't going to burst because you under fill them by 5 PSI. I'll fill them completely when I hit 180...until then, I give them a little bit of squishiness. Just a tiny bit.
  7. Hi people It's been a minute since I've stopped in. The GF and I are getting together this weekend at my house, not hers, which is a nice change. We've got a busy weekend planned...school and the kid and the biking are all going very well. Peace.
  8. JC and everyone else on this board------- Do not ever, ever, ever apologize for talking about an accomplishment! Not here. We need a place to come to where we can say, I kicked some ass today! Brag on your bad selves, because who else will? And we all want to hear it! JC, dude-you are intense and fantastic. It's so cool to see your success! By the way, you need to talk again about the BikeE...I think now I know what it is. It's one of those funky upright ski with wheels things, right? Send us a link or a picture again. I biked with the group last night. My average speed was new all time high of 14 mph, I did 23 miles. The group dynamic is awesome. My gams are looking good!
  9. Annie I'm with you about feeling guilty on the other threads. Aint that some shit? We should be proud...but yeah, if go on there and talk about how I'm losing or working out or whatever I feel like a braggard. But I know exercise it the difference for the weight loss journey. I also KNOW that we will be the on the positive side of the bell curve with at least one if not two diviations from the middle....stats was too long ago...but you know what I mean. We're kicking this fat's ass! Glad you're motivated! I get more support from the 5 or 6 regulars on here than I do the rest of LBT! Peace!
  10. I use a clock and say it's not time to eat...or hold off until another hour from now, depending on the time. I also look at my calories for the day and say it's 2 pm I should be at about 600 calories by now. If it's lower than that I eat. If not I try to hold off. I don't always win.... Aside from that stitching your lips together and taping your hands to the chair, I'm out of ideas!!!!!!!!!!!! Head Hunger is so hard to deal with. I'm interested to see what other people offer up.
  11. D. I'd go for the 2xl. they'll still be wearable until you get super tiny. I was thinking the same thing about Annie...is MIA.
  12. The only down side to a new seat is the cost! $50! for a moderately priced one. Yes and no about a new one. There are better seats in the world, but all of them are going to take some getting used to. There's just not a seat out there that will feel like angles kissing your tender parts. If a seat still feels HORRIBLE after the 3rd or 4th ride (in a short amount of time like a week or 10 days) then get a new seat. If you've only ridden it once it might be too soon to tell. Off to the gym for my strength training! J.
  13. Okay Hoosier you are now HP. But what's your real name??? We should talk more. We are near the same age and I'm about 3 months ahead of you in this game. I was banded in March. Our stats are similar, but you must be tall, for a BMI of 27 at 180 pounds. I'm a shorty. 5'2" Look at all you've lost already! And seeing that you are just 7 weeks out from banding and have been riding is AMAZING!!!!!!!! I was a good two months out before I sarted. You aren't going to make a fool of anyone! Those fools will be eating your dust! Chin up! J.
  14. BG, I'll keep you at BG, but you know but it's odd thinking of a person in contant terms like Babygirl...I call my daughter that at times...and she's like, "I'm not a baby, I'm a big girl." I can see me yelling for you at the ACC, "Babygirl, slow down!" hahahaha
  15. That's what I do. Working 9-5 eh? Hehe...me too.
  16. You can just J me. My peoples call me "J." I'll pass on OJ-too simpsony. Yes, my mother who gave me Julianna calls me J....
  17. Baby Girl, what's your name? Are you going to camp, or drive in that day? JC if you go, will you drive up from FL? How else would you get your bike there? Hoosier- What about you?
  18. Dudes, JC and BG if you are really doing that ride I might just have to too. I'm really on the fence about making money or riding. What a problem to have. I would have never thought it possible before...
  19. Hoosier Exercising and not losing is so FRUSTRATING. It will come off soon. Like Plop, little balls of fat will be falling off you. I think when we begin to exercise our bodies hold on to fluid...but then all of a sudden BAM it lets it go. As for a bigger seat or a gel seat I did that too when I first got on a bike a few years ago. I think it does make a different. For the road bike I got a new gellier seat with a cut out in the middle for the girl parts. It's weird but feels better than the seat that came with the bike. Ohhhhhh, and I did do my twenty miles last night on my own. I'm feeling back to normal. (I did strength training during my lunch hour too. JC, you're the surpreme nut, but I'm trying to be like you!) I'll be going out with the group tonight for something like 23-26 not sure. Saturday the GF is going to be here and we are shooting for 40! Love yous guys.
  20. Carol 3.2 lost is 3.2 you'll never see again! I know you wanted to see more. You'll be dropping balls of fat behind you soon, don't worry! As for carbs I don't really notice how many I eat so I'll check. Looks like I eat about 100-120 grams of carbs a day. I eat about the same in Protein and 50 grams of fat on average. I just watch my calories and protein. I shoot fewer than 1400 calories and 80+ grams of protein a day. Look at yogurt, cottage cheese, tuna, and eggs if chewing on meat doesn't work well for you. Keep us posted.
  21. BG We going to register this weekend. I just realized that's a weekend where I can work overtime though. That's a tough call. Money in my pocket or a great weekend riding and enjoying life. Money is tight... I'll let you know for sure soon though. J
  22. The first time I gulped and went "holy crap!" pretty much kept me from doing it again. I just keep liquids away from my plate at meal time. As for inbetween times, when I think about putting something in my mouth, I go for Water or decaf iced tea before I eat anything. Keeps my hydrated and I typically don't want to eat.
  23. Wooo HOOOOOOOOO! That's a great accomplishment! Keep it UP and report back.
  24. Terry Body Bugg is a super FANCY tool that does all kinds of things, plus heart rate monitoring. You can get a decent HRM for around $50. Look at the machines at your gym, if they say "Polar" equipped that means they are able to read your monitor. You wear the monitor around your chest and typically have a receiver type wrist watch thingy. But with the machines they can receive your signal... That was awkwardly put... But also, a cross trainer is going to work you harder than a bike. More muscles, bigger movements, I think...I'm no expert.
  25. Deanna, you poor thing! I'm so sorry you're hurting. Our bodies will tell us when it's time to slow down. Maybe yours is telling you to rest a day or two. BG and Hoosier-You all can camp...my ass is going to be sleeping in a bed in a hotel. We'll meet you at breakfast time in the firehouse. You decide in the morning how far you'll ride. So don't fret. But you do need to register before hand. Swaaaaweet.
