I have had two fills in my 4cc band. I was banded August 1st. My first fill was 1.25cc and my second fill was .5cc. I still have yet to really feel restriction.

when they do a your fills, do they give you a little local first? mine did, I was amazed at that part. NOW I JUST WANT MY RESTRICTION DAMMIT! sorry, just hungry, lol.

I am have 1.25 in a 4cc and I feel NOTHING. I'm just so discouraged. I'm not loosing anything for weeks. not gaining either but that happieness only goes so far.

to all of you who are at a perfect fill or need a little taken out. Were there times when you didnt' have enough and thougth it would never happen?

for some reason I cannot stand the taste of ham since banding. but that's it for me.

Ericsmom- I have posted this before but I will cut and paste it here for you too. We seem to have the same questions. I have a 10 cm band. Which apparently is different from the 10cc band. When I asked my doc what the difference was, he said a 10cc vanguard band could hold 10cc (doy!) and the 10cm band could hold 4cc. But it is not uncommon for them to put 5cc's in the 4 cc band. When I asked him if that made it close to popping he laughed and said no. Why don't they just call it a 5cc band then? Sheesh people, and you went to medical school???? (just teasing if you are reading this doc watson! lol)

Okay, I have been banded almost 6 weeks. I am due for my first fill on Sept 12. I had restriction the first 2/3 weeks due to swelling. For the last 2/3 weeks I have been exactly as I was before bieng banded. Able to eat anything I want and the amount that I want. I have not been binging like I have been used to most of my life. I have been "white knuckle dieting". Now, just a couple days before my first fill I am getting tighter and have restriction. Not the amount I think I should have but very noticable. I layed down to take a nap at 1pm as I have to work graves tonight. I woke up after 3 hours and was like this. What could cause this? very confused. :help:

I was banded August 1st and my first fill is scheduled for September 12. I have not lost much weight since bieng banded. I am white knuckle dieting for the last 3 weeks. I had to wait to get my first fill as my doc won't do first fill until you are at least 6 weeks post-op. My question is, how long do you have to wait for a second fill if the first one doesn't give you adequate restriction? I hope I don't have to wait 6 weeks in between each fill.
