Wahooo! First NSV!!
That is soooo great Magical Me! I can't wait for the day when I am laying on my back in the tub and my back fat doesn't create a suction so I have to tilt my body so I can get up! LOL. I wished I was joking about that! LOL

WOW! I feel so great right now!
did you have any restriction after you were banded? And also, how much restriction did you have after your first fill? Also about how many calories a day are you eating and what kind of exercise. Not trying to be nosy, just curious. You are doing so great!

Never admitted until NOW
OMG!!! I too have ordered the two soda's so it looked like I wasn't ordering this all for me. Find the nearest gas station to throw my wrappers away so no one would notice. My husband told me today that he had seen a large number of fast food wrappers in my truck on occassion but thought that was the result of me bieng a slob over the course of a few weeks and just forgetting to toss them out. He said he was shocked to learn that it was over the course of 20 minutes! I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem. I feel more normal now.

Never admitted until NOW
I have had such a problem in the past really admitting to what has actually caused me to be fat. I have been married almost 11 years and I just told my husband this today. He had no idea. Since I was 19 years old (I'm 27 now) Whenever I'm alone, especially when I would drive to town with out kids or husband, I would binge on food. I would not throw it up, but I would just stuff my face and then hide the wrappers. Hiding the wrappers I have no idea why because my husband met me big and has never been bothered by the fact. (he has a thing for bigger women). He has never told me to not have that extra twinky or slice of pizza. If I'm happy, he's happy. But I still found myself buying two double quarter pounders with cheese, two large orders of french fries, and a large soda and downing in in 20 minutes. If I was on any kind of diet, whatever I didn't eat in front of someone, I didn't count as eating at all. (hmmmmm, wonder why I'm fat??? lol). Anyways, I'm so glad I can put this out in the open, I have never talked about it and certainly never posted it in a public forum. I just figure, if I keep it a secret, I'm obviously not trying to change it. Although, now I'm banded and doing great so far. I feel as if my life is gonna change. I know the band does not change my mental issues with food but after admitting this, I think I have decided to start seeing a counselor about that part. Thanks for listening. What a load off my chest. (about two quarter pounders and a some fries worth!)

Depression after Surgery
I had HORRIBLE depression 4th, 5th, and 6th day post op. I was feeling so low I couldn't stop crying when I was alone. My friend attributes it to the sudden stop in junk food. Like most addicts, (which I think we are) when you stop the drug of choice (in this case food) you experience lows, and I think she was absolutely correct. That is just me though. But I think it could be that. Mine was anyways. Could be a number of things.

Weird question following fill
I have only been banded for about 10 days but i too am not getting much sleep without ambien. And even then, I am up every couple hours. I so far am just attributing it to the fact that I am still off work. (not because of medical necessity, just because I had 3 weeks to burn) I feel like I'm just getting anxious. But after listening to you guys, I'm wondering if it is the band. We will see, I go back to work August 18th and it is back to bieng away from home for 16 hours a day. If I don't get tired, then I KNOW it will be the band.

tightness in chest w/no fill yet
I think you are right.

What is your height?
I'm 5 foot 2 inches and my goal is 135.

tightness in chest w/no fill yet
I am exactly 7 days post-op today. I have lost 6 pounds. Yes I'm sure that is mostly water weight, but I do wonder considering I get stuck on water protein drink. Also, I don't even know if the feeling I'm getting IS stuck. I'm just assuming. All I know is I have 10 band. After reading this board I'm not sure if it is a cm or cc. I go back for my post-op check up this week and will ask to make sure. But in any case I DO know it is unfilled. I went to the movies last night and the only thing I ordered was a bottle of water. just sitting in the seat was making me feel like the water was held up in my chest. I hope this is just the swelling and will go down soon. On the other hand, I obviously have restriction and feel I should be greatful.

anesthesia
Both my c-sections were emergencies. So much trouble that since I had to have my tubes tied. But I was still awake to witness both the births of my children with no pain whatsoever with the epidural. They can do the epidural surgies in both emergency and non-emergency.

How many calories?
I'm also having some calorie intake problems. But I am only 5 days post op and am still on liquids. Today is the most calories I have been able to consume and it was only 230. Even with chick broth, water, crystal light, etc, I feel pressure in my chest. I obviously have not had any fills and I have a 10cc band. And actually I'm not even sure about that. Right before I went into surgery my doctor told me I would be getting a 10, but I didn't know there was a 10cc and a 10cm till yesterday. I have no idea now which one of those he put in me. Im almost positive it was the 10cc. I know my restriction is just swelling. But I'm curious how long it takes for swelling to go down.

anesthesia
I had two c-sections and was awake with both. And I didn't feel a thing. I was told I would be awake. I didn't even know they put you to sleep with a c-section. Mine was all about the epidural and local. I was wide awake with both and got to experience the whole thing, which I loved!

anesthesia
If this real. I'm speechless. It sounds so horrible I can't even think of words to put to it. :speechles

10cc band
I hope I keep my restriction but bieng realistic, I know that I wont. but I am going to enjoy it while it lasts.

10cc band
I'm sure it is just swelling. But I have big time restriction just a few days out. My doctor does not do fills until at least 6 weeks out. But I have been feeling not once ounce of hunger not one minute in the last three days. and when I do drink some protein shake, i have to barely swallow just drops because it puts pressure on my chest if I do more.
