I am not scheduled for my plastic surgery for another 6 weeks but I do know after my lap band surgery I couldn't swallow pills (as most can't) and they gave me liquid percocet for pain managment. It was just like taking Nyquil or something like that. But much, much stronger obviously. Also I was diagnosed with TMJ a couple months ago and they said taking some ibuprofen would help lessen the swelling. when I told my doc I couldn't take pills she prescribed me the liquid type of ibuprofen no problem. Just ask your plastic surgeon. I think any doc would be more than happy to give you the liquid version.

Naked juice makes a protien drink that is about 2.88 a bottle. It is made all natural with all fruit no added anything else except whey protein. It has 40 grams of protien per bottle. I buy it at walmart. the only bad thing is, it is 500 calories a bottle.

I am all of a sudden down to about 1/4 cup of food and I might be giving myself a few bites more than I can actually have. I'm wondering what is causing this. I am not in my monthly or anything like that.

I'm having some tight issues also. I have not lost any weight in probably 5-6 weeks, but i haven't exercised or watched what I ate. I have not gained any either. It started when I pulled my groin and hurt my knee with a run so I stopped to heal up a bit and just never started again. But I have not had a fill since Feb and all of a sudden in the last few days I'm so tight I can only eat a few bites of corn or really anything and am stuffed to the gills. But I'm getting water down no problem. Very odd, Guess have to see where this goes.

Surgery august 29, Having pre-ops done on August 23rd. That is also when my almost $11,000 is due and I'm getting very nervous and very excited at the same time.

I do the bodybugg low calorie thing. Mainly focuses on the calories you vs. the calories you burn daily. No guesswork. If you are going to gain, you know it, if you are going to lose, you know it.

I am 28. I was 27 when banded. best thing I ever did. The only regret I have is not doing it sooner.

Just curious about how your follow-up went. Having same issues.

bodybugg is the best! I had surgery 10 months and 7 days ago and I have lost 106 lbs with the help of that. I was not doing well the first 5 months, and then the body bugg helped me with that (and also restriction) but it really does help you see the reality of what you eat vs. what you burn. IT'S WONDERFUL!!! and very eye opening.

Also, one thing I forgot to ask. Did they unfill you before surgery? Did they move your port? If so, where did they move it to?

First of all I have to say- Sugarplum you look FANTASTIC!!!! I am set to have my abdominalplasty and boob job August 29th. I have been keeping a log under "beginning of abdominalplasty/boob job. It is very slow going blog thus far but it does contain the prices that I will be paying and such for the person who asked that question earlier in the thread. I cannot wait to look as fantastic as those of you who have posted their tummy tuck pics so far. You all are truly an inspiration. Not to mention hotties now.

Surgery is set for August 29th at 9:30 a.m. I go in for my pre-op on August 23rd. I will be out of work for a minimum of six weeks. I will be posting before pics the day before surgery and during pics during my recovery. I am also going to see if I can get one of the nurses to take a few snap-shots during surgery. If anyone actually wants to see those. I don't even know if I do.

I did not read through all the posts so sorry if this is a repeat of someone elses post. I buy my Protein mix at GNC. It has 50 grams of protein per serving. 210 calories. and no carbs. It is called Zero Carb Isopure. Great flavors. You can buy it at GNC store or at GNC.com.

I'm sure that varies by doctor but I was told by my surgeon to never drink ANYTHING carbonated again. Whether it has any calories or not. I tried a sip of my hubbies soda many months ago and it about killed me. the pain in my chest was awful.

String cheese is an excellent one for me. yogurt works, I know that is so diet cliche but I have more restriction with regular yogurt than I do with meat sometimes. I also like to take my fave lunch meat from the deli sliced deli thin, ( i really like roast beef, ham/fat free turkey) and put about a half a tablespoon of philly cream cheese on it and maybe a green onion and roll it into a little roll and two of those will really make me full and they are very tasty. I just make a 4-6 the night before and they are awesome just to grab and eat at a moment's notice.

Okay, May 24th I went to Reno to see my new plastic surgeon. He says he can go forward with the abdominalplasty and breast augmentation right now, but I told him I wanted to lose another 30 pounds. I am having surgery sometime in August. I'm waiting for his front desk lady to call me back with the exact date and I will let you all know when I get it. Hopefully by next week. I wanted to have tummy tuck, breast lift and implants, but it was hard for me to talk him into two surgeries at the same time. He will do tummy tuck, and breast augmentation first surgery, then in 3 months to a year he will do the lift. He says too many surgeries at once is not good. Anyways. He gives a 10% discount if you pay cash. Because he is doing a double procedure on me, he is giving me a 20% discount. The discount takes around $1,340 off my surgery, so both surgeries, hospital stay, anesthesia, implants themselves, garmant bands, the whole nine yards is gonna cost me $10,006. I had to pay $60 consult fee which comes off the surgery amount if he does the surgery. And when they schedule the date, you have to send in a $250.00 dollar deposit which also comes off the top price. Waiting to see what happens and I will update ya'll.

Okay, it's a bummer and deinately a set back but don't want to take any chances. I have cancelled my appt with my plastic surgeon in Lake Tahoe. In my ongoing research on my current plastic surgeon and other plastic surgeon's and talking to friends of mine in Carson City I have had an eye opening when it comes to Dr.Foster in Lake Tahoe. I will not go into details but I am making a new appt. this week with Northern Nevada Plastic Surgery Center. My new doctor will be Dr. Strand. I will update on Monday the 14th.

Well today I got my information packet in the mail from my plastic surgeon. I noticed that it also included a price list for every single surgery the place offers. I noticed it said tummy tuck/breast augmentation discount together would be less than 9000 dollars including OR fee. Hopefully the receptionist quoted me the wrong price.

I'm going to keep a bit of a log for my cosmetic surgery here. I have my consultation appointment on May 14,2007 in Lake Tahoe. So far what I know is they could possibly have to do one surgery one day and the other surgery the next day. The nurse said that would be worst case scenario. Hopefully both on the same day. $6,300 for the abdominalplasty and $3,900 for the breast augmentation. I will post more as I learn more.

I don't drink wine but once every four weeks I allow myself to go out with my crew after work right before our 7 days off and I drink between 1 and 4 kahlua's and cream. Definately empty calories and a lot of fat but it hasn't impeded my weight loss yet. I also consider it a treat.

I live in a super small mining town. This town does not have one single stop light, cab service, restraunt (unless you count the burger king that is in the shell station). My town has a population of about 2,000. But I am looking out my living room window right now and can see Interstate 80. And when I look out the other side about a mile from me is train tracks that are very busy. There are a lot of homeless train people and I'm sure I don't have to tell you how many people travel Interstate 80 on a daily basis. I bet in this town and the small town that is about 18 miles from here has had one murder a month on the average in the last year. In fact, one ladies body was found about 5 miles from my house about 8 weeks ago. Due to some stupid decision I made when I was 19 years old I am not allowed to own/posses a gun. Even though I have never shot a gun in my life, there are times in the last year where my decision have come back to haunt me because I definately wish I could own one now. I don't know what's happening around here. You know what else I forgot to mention. About half a mile outside of town (which I can see from my front porch) there is a prison and it is not unheard of for the cops around here to do a house to house search when someone escapes. That only happens about once a year, but that is once a year too much in my book. I'm not saying a gun can protect me 100% no matter what circumstance, but I do know that it would probably give me more peace of mind. There is no real way of knowing what may or may not happen to me in the future, but I do know I would like peace of mind now.
