Never Hungry
You will get your appetite back unfortunately it doesn't last for long, but once you get back on solids and into a routine you will find that you aren't as obsessed about food as you used to be and that you don't constantly think about it.

So... got some work to do.
Welcome! Good luck with your task. Stay motivated. Look at your goal in the long run and don't get discouraged!

can you feel your port?
Yes I can feel my port. My doctor told me eventually it will stick out.

Beer?
I am 3 months post op and I had beer for the 1st time since my surgery last weekend. I only got thru half of it. I sipped it and it basically got too warm before I even had a little bit gone. It didn't bother me too much just made me extra burpy but i'm used to being extra burpy ever since my surgery.

Exercise Obsession
Yes it definitely started a couple weeks after doing it 2-4 times a week. I usually do about an hour 2-4 days a week depending on my schedule. I'm definitely not ready to workout in the mornings. I sleep in as much as I can. It's great. I can now do 30 pushups (girl style of course) but that's something I wasn't able to do at the start of this. It's nice to be able to stretch and be somewhat limber. My arms are starting to get a nice shape to them too. It's really exciting to see the results.

I just need a pick me up :(
Well you are well on your way. You've lost 30 lbs since the start of your journey that's pretty freaking awesome!!! He's a jerk for even saying what he said.

Dr. Pesta- MICHIGAN
Nope did not go through him I went through Dr. Gazayerli. He's located in Troy at the corner of 16 Mile (Big Beaver) & Crooks. He's awesome. He's out of the DMC complex and did my surgery at Harper University Hospital. He's awesome! Finally someone from my side of the State! Welcome and hopefully you have a great experience.

plateaus
try changing up your routine, exercise routine, food routine, etc. see if that helps to get you out of your rut. sometimes eating higher carlorie/higher fat foods breaks me out of my ruts. my body for whatever reason thinks it's going to starve itself and it holds onto whatever it can and I find that when I eat something a little higher in fat and calories the next day i'm down 2 lbs. good luck!

Anyone want to fess up to nasty habits and try to work on them together!
I had to break this bad habit too. It's the worst eating habit to get into to. I've finally broken it.

new to the band
4/23?? Do you mean 3/23? It's typical to not lose much weight inbetween your surgery and your 1st fill. You body's adjusting from having surgery and then going onto a solid food diet so don't worry. Once you have restriction then you will start to lose more weight.

too much exercise?????????
Do what feels right to you. Just don't overexert yourself. Fitness is important. Look at the people on the biggest loser that's all they do all day is workout. Maybe one day you will be a certified fitness instructor.

White Pasta
Everybody is different in what they can and cannot eat. I've been fine so far and can eat everything just fine. obviously whole wheat pasta is healthier for you than white pasta. plus I haven't even noticed a difference in the taste.

too much exercise?????????
Hey nothing wrong with getting obsessed with the exercise. Now while I don't do nearly as much as you do I say maybe take a day or two off a week. Or if you don't want to take a day off maybe only walk 2-3 miles instead of 4 miles a day. you will still have all the benefits of exercising. Have you discussed any of this with your doctor? If so what have they said to you?

Hello ! I am a Newbie from North Carolina
That is awesome you have lost alot of weight. Don't go back to your old habits. You may need to eat a little more. Sometimes our body's are funny. If you sit there and diet and be good all the time your body gets tired of the routine or it may think you are starving yourself and hold onto the food. If you eat more frequently or you eat something a little fattier than usual it may let go of a pound or 2 for you. Or change up your exercise routine. Something to mix it up and confuse your body into letting go. Some people also recommend you try the 5 day pouch test. There's a link on here somewhere to the website for it. Good luck!

Unnaturally cold all the time
I'm always cold now too. It's weird. I thought i was always cold before my surgery but it's even worse now.

Ugh, all I want is a yes or no answer!
I'm sorry that you are going through all this crap. You would think your surgeon's office would make it easier on you since they are in the business of helping people. My experience was nothing like yours fortunately. My doctor runs his office very efficiently. Maybe contact your pcp and see if they will call and get the information for you. I'm sure they would if you explained your dilemmia to them. If not I would look into switching surgeons. Good luck with your journey! It's well worth it.

Band slippage or scar tissue?

Banded 4-14, 1PM
Congrats on your surgery! That's pretty cool that your weight dropped that much. Just start walking around your house, that will help alot with all the pain.
