Poll: How many have acid reflux problems?
I rarely get any acid reflux. I've been banded for over 3 months now and I've maybe had to take an antacid 6 times. It's so nice. I used to get it every night.

sweet spot weight loss
I've been averaging 2 lbs a week since I got banded this is the 1st time i've lost more than 2 lbs in a week and I've lost 5 lbs within 8 days. I was like dang. If this is my sweet spot I can handle that! I'm going to disney at the end of August and I want to be 240 lbs by then and i'm 27 lbs away from my goal. I wasn't sure if I would make my goal but if my weight loss is going to speed up then I will definitely make my goal and then some!

sweet spot weight loss
I know weight loss is going to vary from person to person I was just curious to see how much weight loss people experienced when they were at their sweet spot.

sweet spot weight loss
when you reached your sweet spot how much weight were you losing each week? I've been steadily losing 2 lbs a week but now I have 6 cc's in and since my last fill on April 25th I've lost 5 lbs. Thanks!

when did you lose clothes sizes not just lbs.?
It took a while. 20 lbs into it my shirts were hanging off me and here I am down over 40 lbs and I'm finally down 1 pants size. I went from a 26 top and bottom to 18/20 top and 24 bottom. Hopefully by the end of summer they will be the same.

Band of sisters
That is so awesome! Congrats to both of you. It makes it easier knowing someone whose going through the same thing.

undecided
For only 90 lbs overweight I definitely say lapband. You don't want some doc in there permanently slicing and dicing your insides. At least the lapband there's no cutting involved except for your incisions and there's definitely no rerouting going on.

Scale not moving advice please
You are not eating enough. You are making healthy choices but you are not taking in enough calories especially for the amount you are working out. Add in a lean cuisine into the mix or a piece of fruit or something. Good luck.

Shopping
I had to go back shopping again today because I bought a black skirt and I was trying to find a shirt to wear with it so i just grabbed a skirt off the rack size 26 which 3 months ago wouldn't of fit right and it was way too lose on me. That was a really nice feeling. All the shirts I tried on fit with no problems and they were size 18/20. It was such a great feeling. This is the 1st time in a LONG time that I actually enjoyed going shopping.

OMG that is so awesome!!! Size 18 pants. I can't wait until I can wear size 18 pants. I'm just getting used to the fact that my shirt size is back to a 18/20.

Question for all of you experience banders..
Go back to the doctor you may have lost some of your Fluid. I know I lose almost half a cc and I go every month. I'm not to my sweet spot yet so I can't answer your other question but it appears as though you have lost a bit of fluid in your band and just need to get it checked out. Good luck and get back on track!!! You know what you need to do.

Okay so I have a wedding to go to this upcoming Saturday so I went to Fashion Bug to get a dress or a skirt since everything nice I own is way too big on me now. My size prior to LB surgery was a 26 womens so I grabbed a 24. I'm smaller on top than I am on bottom and I am just now fitting into size 24 pants so I figured a 24 would fit. I put the dress on it's way too big. The sales lady went and came back with a size 22. I tried it on, it was still way too big. She went and got me a 20, guess what, too big. I'm like a size 18 is not going to fit because I have big hips and she's like you still have this much more room to go. So i'm like okay i'll try it. She goes back and gets the size 18 and wah la! It fit. I was so ecstatic. I haven't worn a size 18 since I was 20 years old. I couldn't believe it. Anyone else have this kind of moment when you realize exactly how much weight you have lost?

To tell or not to tell?
It'd be different if you were a tight knit group but if they are gossipy then keep it to yourself. If they ask tell them you took a vacation. It's none of their business.

Extreme Pain with Fill
Ask them to numb you first. I am a huge needle phobe but I do ok because I make them numb me.

Do you have a loved one w/an eating disorder? If so, how did they react to your WLS?
That's a toughie. Has your sister ever sought treatment for her eating disorders? I guess just be honest and say my doctor says i'm overweight and recommended I get this procedure done it's the healthy way to lose weight. Put emphasis on the fact that it's a healthy way to lose weight. Good luck with this one!

Errr... so frustrated
Stay on top of them. Let it be known why you are pushing so hard. If they continue to get you a hard time talk to the office manager.

Hard times
34 lbs in 2 months is an awesome accomplishment in itself. Don't beat yourself up because you feel you should've lost more. Just move forward. Make sure you are eating healthy and exercising. Eventually the weight will come off. If you feel you are eating more than you should be go get a fill. Don't obsess over what the scale says because that will get you all frustrated and stressed out which will result in weight gain.

Bypass Bias
The whole cutting and rerouting thing doesn't sit well with me. Also they are finding alot of GP patients are gaining their weight back. At least with the band you can always tighten it to lose the few lbs you may gain back. you don't have that much to lose. I would go with the lapband.
