  1. Tracy, you probably will be just a little sore. Congrats on being banded!
  2. Nancy, that is so exciting. I remember being were you are a year ago. I was getting ready for all my evals prior to my surgery in June. Congrats. Its natural to be nervous.
  3. Waterlily., I am doing great. The weight is flying off now. I use to lose only 1 lb a week but now I am losing faster which is really nice!
  4. Shellie, typically if you have lower BMI they ask for comorbisity (I don;t know how to spell it) issues. Like your sleep apnea, etc. Good luck to you.
  5. Laura, I would call your local surgeon and ask him if he takes other peoples patients. You are correct, often times they will take the ones that are from the US. No big deal to move doctors after 6 visits. You should be fine. Julie
  6. Glad your dehydration was found. It can be really dangerous. Hope you feel better. Julie
  7. Lisa, congrats! Julie
  8. They can repair it during your surgery. Just ask the surgeon. Julie
  9. rrod0991, congrats on your impending surgery. You will love being banded. Good luck.
  10. Mine does not cover fills and they run me $200 each.
  11. Yes, the protein shakes are the most important. Your menu looks great. Julie
  12. Please update me. Current 231.5 3.5 to go
  13. Welcome to band land. Congrats on getting banded. Julie
  14. Sounds like you are doing really well. Keep up the good work.
  15. Melissa, welcome to lapbandtalk forum. Congrats on your surgery.
  16. Demsvmejm, I too am on Chantix. Cigs don't even take the same, yuck. I am on day 6 and doing well. Julie
  17. I hit the 50.5 mark this a.m. I was banded last June and I'm considered a slow/average loser at 1 lb a week. I have 2 more months until my bandiversary but I am happy to report I am down 50 lbs and 2 sizes.
  18. Gummie, I would call and go back for another fill. You shouldn't be starving. It took me 8 months to get to my sweet spot so hang in there. About the exercise, don't get so down yourself. I am 10 months out and I don't exercise. The weight loss is just slower so be good to yourself. One walk at a time. Julie
  19. Things will change but all for the better. You will be able to enjoy everything just in smaller portions. You'll be taking home left overs from the restaurant or sharing a dish with your hubby instead.
  20. I'll definitely need plastic surgery after losing 80-100 lbs.
  21. I love BMT, extra vinegar. Thanks for eating that for me. I miss them so much!
  22. thatgirl, don't be frustrated. It took me 8 months to get there. I have lost 13 lbs since Jan 11th so now I am really moving. You will be fine. Just keep going back for fills until you can only eat 1/2 cup of food at a time. That is what works for me. I take in 800-1k calories a day only. Julie
  23. Juligeraci, current weight 231.5 3.5 to go.
  24. I finally hit the 50 lbs mark this a.m. I've been banded for 10 months. Yippee!
