Lettuce
I love salads. They fill me up and I always throw in a little lean protein. How long you been banded? Are you on solid stage yet?

Is this what it the band is suppose to do???
- Help?!
You may want to start another thread in lapband support "mexican doctors". I know there are several that will recommend them. Good luck.- Newbie in Colorado
Hi Trina, congrats on being banded. Your incisions will heal just fine. It just take a little time. Good luck!- 3 year user and in pain. Help
Christine, glad to hear you are doing better. Keep your head up. Go into your surgeon and recommit. That is all you can do. Good luck.- well...I know whats up with my head now
Hi Jodie, I understand how you are feeling. I am bi-polar and thankfully due to a great Psychiatrist who is excellent with my meds I am doing well. I have my ups and downs a little bit but it is great not wanting to sleep all the time or going into mania or worse depression. If you get treated you will feel like a new woman. Good luck.- I want my cake....
Waterlily, I know how you feel. I am just at 50 lbs in 10 months. Its been an average of 1 lb a week for me. I want it now too. I like the fact that I can still eat sweets and drink alcohol being banded. My doctor is thrilled at my weight loss to date as yours probably is. Just enjoy the journey. Its going to take at least another year. Good luck.- I was banded this week too!!
Hi Whosthatgirl, congrats on getting banded. You will do great.- What does restriction feel like for you???
Just wait until you have good restriction. 1k calories will be a breeze. You are doing great. Keep up the good work. Julie- Weight Gain
Berry, right now you are in the healing stage. Your weight loss will come when you start getting restriction and fills. I gained about 6 lbs moving to mushy/solid stage but quickly took that off when I get my first fill at 6 weeks. Right now just try and concentrate on good healthy mushies and you will be fine. Congrats so far on being banded.- JulieNYC's Extended Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift
Julie, so glad you got out of the hospital okay and are feeling good. Congrats on your surgery. I'm sure you will love the results.- What does restriction feel like for you???
Hi Louise, you shouldn't have to rely on willpower. When you have proper restriction you will not be hungry now will you be able to eat as much. I can only consume 800-1000k calories a day. I eat like a bird but I love it. I lost 3 lbs last week. I'm at 3cc in a 10cc band (which holds 4.2). You will do great. Congrats.- I'm freaking out a little
I took extra strength liquidf tylenol and I was fine. You may want to tell your doctor and go for some vicodin or something along those lines.- What does restriction feel like for you???
Hi Louise, 1.5 cups is too much food. If you don't have that feeling in your throat you definitely need a fill. That is what I would do if I were you. You will start to lose again, I promise.- What does restriction feel like for you???
Hi Louise, if you are feeling your throat tighten that is definitely restriction. How much food can you eat at once. You shouldn't be able to eat 1/2 to 1 cup of food at the max. 1 cup is pushing it. If you are conosuming too many calories then you need another fill. If you aren't losing that is also an indicator. If you are losing and feel restriction I wouldn't go in for your fill. You will be very uncomfortable with too much restriction. Good luck.- Through hell and back, With death knocking at my door
Hotpink, I am so sorry this happened to you. I wish you a speedy recovery so you can enjoy your lapband.- just home from surgery
Josie, congrats on being banded. Now is the time to heal. Follow the doctors diet and you will be fine. Julie- Weird Feelings
Hi Stephanee, the first thing we have to relearn is being good to ourselves. Our thought become real. So next time you pass the mirror just smile to yourself and say "I'm on my way". Congrats on your NSV. Good job!- My Doctor Really Pushed for RNY
Laura, lapband weight loss is slower than RNY. The stats are 30-50% of your excess weight with a year and 1 - 2 lbs per week. The bypass is much quicker. I love being banded. There is not doubt this was the right decision for me. I am down almost 50 lbs since June. So I am running at the 1+ lb per week stat. I am happy if I hit 52 lb my first year which is 1 lb a week. I have already lost the 50% at 10 months so I am happy. Best of luck to you with your decision. If he loves RNY so much how many lapbands has he done. YOu may want to go with a surgeon who has done more.- button my pants
LLSibley, that is what we call a NSV, non scale victory! Way to go!- Post Op Hunger
I was allowed to have anything that fit through a straw. So I moved to creamy soups right away. That really helped.- Spicy foods?
Me too. I love spicy food. I had jalapenos just yesterday without a problem.- Pre Surgery Comprehensive List
Here is the list you are looking for: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/post-op-checklists-t14814.html congrats on getting banded!- Loosing fill but no leak!!!
Bea, if he can't get the whole 2ccs out you definitely have a small leak. He can fill you with a solution which is thicker than saline to help. Its like fixing a flat tire. I would try that. I worked for me and I've held my fill for 2 months now. Good luck. - Help?!
