  1. I wrote earlier in the week I was feeling bad, wasn't sure if I needed a fill, my best friend dumped me, etc. etc. I am feeling much better. I spoke to my surgeon earlier in the week and we established that I wasn't eating enough hard protein. Since switching I have lost 3 lbs this week. I am at 49 lbs, almost 50! I feel much better these days and I wanted to thank you all for the support. Julie:clap2:
  2. Gummie, if you are eating too much it is time for a fill. You probably have not stretched your pouch. If you have lost weight it is because of the loss of weight you need to have a fill.
  3. I'm sorry this happened to you. Best wishes.
  4. Berry, yes it should go down easy. I can't eat scrambled but I can eat soft or over easy. Good luck.
  5. Nancy, I have been banded 10 months. I am down 50 lbs. My high was 282 when I was banded and I'm at 233 today. I love being banded. I am considered an average/slow loser at 1 lb a week. Things are picking up for me though because I have audited my diet and I wasn't eating enough solid protein. I feel much fuller now longer and I've lost 3 lbs this week now. Good luck on your journey.
  6. I have heard great thinks about Dr. Spivak. I didn't use him but on the boards I have heard great things. You may want to start a thread specific to his name.
  7. Productive burp. Its similar to vomitting.
  8. Dustmouse, your relationship with food will definitely change. You will be able to enjoy all the foods you like but less of them. Don't feel discouraged. You will be able to eat up to a cup of food. With the proper restriction you will not be as hungry and not be able to consume as much. That is the beauty of the band. You can do this!
  9. Kynekke, just get back on track. Do you need a fill? How about liquids for a day to help you lose again?
  10. Becca, congrats on being banded. You will love it once you get through the healing stage. good luck.
  11. Ally, welcome to lapband talk forum. Congrats on your decision. Hopefully your wait will not be that long.

  13. Diddi, welcome to lapbandtalk forum. Congratulations on being banded. Good luck!
  14. I would go in for a fill. You should only be able to eat the protein alone. You are eating too much. Good luck.
  15. Yes, you must be able to eat a solid diet. You have made the right decision. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy.
  16. Miper70, I am glad you had some fill removed. It doesn't help you long term when you PB all the time. Good for you. Keep up the good work.
  17. You will do fine if you follow your doctors orders. Listen to your body. You will know when it is time for a fill. If you aren't losing weight, are too hungry, or eating too much it is time. Good luck to you!
  18. After 10 months I am finally hitting the 50 lbs mark. I have 1 more lb to go!
  19. Sasha, congrats on your consult. Its hard to believe mine was a year ago. I can't believe I am down 50 lbs without barely trying. It unimaginable. Good luck on your journey.
  20. Edie, congrats to you. I noticed today when I tried on a bathing suit it looked like my back fat was getting much better. Congrats.
  21. Jill, that is quite the story. I am so glad your little girl is okay. I have a story too. When my oldest son was about 4 years old we went to the playground. He proceeded to the top of the slide. When he started to go down I raised my hands and said "weeee". He proceeded to do the same. He fell over the side railing of the slide! He broke his collar bone. Thankfully it was only that and not a broken neck. I cried I couldn't believe it. I went to my neighbor who was an older woman and told her the story. She proceeded to tell me her 2 year old once followed her in the bathroom and she shut the door on his hand, cutting off 2 finger tips. That was horrible. After that I finally calmed down. Accidents do happen. Take care of yourself okay!
  22. Yes, that is sliming. Either that or PB. Both have something come up. Good luck.
  23. Yes, I bruised around where the incisions were made. Congrats on being banded.
  24. I used Gas X strips. If you are hungry eat some creamy soup. You can have anything that fits through a straw. Good luck.
