  7. Marcia, congrats on making the decision to be banded. You will love it. Julie
  8. Marcia, it really matter on how much you have to lose. I had to lose 80-100 lbs. I will definitely need a tummy tuvck after this. Julie
  9. Dreamer, congrats on going to the informational session. I remember that time well. Enjoy yourself. It is so exciting.

  13. Hi Afrykanvyolet, Go into tickerfactory.com put in your weihgt, etc. It will then take you to a page that says BBC code I think. copy from where the (img) starts until (img) ends. Paste that directly into your signature and save. That should do the trick.
  14. Please update: I am at 233 now, 5 more lbs til goal.
  15. It will fix on its own once you get back to solid foods.
  16. Productive burp. It is just like vomitting.
  17. Dave, glad you are feeling better. You should be off the pain meds soon.
  18. Becca, it all depends on what your insurance says. Mine went stricty with BMI of 40%+. Julie
  19. This is totally normal. I had a major meltdown prior and cried that night. You are normal and everything will be okay.
  20. Donna, mine took 6-8 weeks total to get through all the preop appointments and the approval. It sounds like you are further in the process so I would say within 2 weeks.
  21. Berry, you should be fine. Just chew it really well. Julie
  22. 33 lbs in 3 months is really good. You should be proud of yourself. My doctor only waits 2 weeks in between fills. If you are losing 1-2 lbs a week which you are you are losing what is typical. Hang in there.
  23. Gretchen my dear. I understand how you feel. Right now you are still in the healing stage. You will not have restriction until you start getting fills. Even then you may need several. Do you know what size band you have? I have good restriction now but it took me 5 fills to get it. Also, keep in mind you may gain a few lbs before your fill. That is completely normal. I gained 8 lbs but lost it pretty quickly after a fill. Also keep in mind the average weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week. I am down 49 lbs in 10 months which is exactly 1.1 lbs per week. You need to hang in there. The weight loss will come. Hang on tight. and BTW, if you are on solids make sure you are getting enough solid protein, ie. meat/chicken breasts. You will not be as hungry. I found out the hard way.
  24. That is too funny. Welcome to lapband!
