  1. Panda, no problem. Let us know if you have any other concerns or questions. I remember how it was being newly banded. Good luck!
  2. When you start getting fills you will not be as hungry. There are sensors at the top of the stomach which indicate fullness. So when you are tightened and the food stays in the pouch longer you will feel full longer. Makes sense doesn't it! Julie
  3. Nice poem. I am a poet too. Congrats on your band. Julie
  4. Pands, hiccups and burping are very common with the band. When you eat especially. It is the bodies way of telling you that you are getting full. Congrats on being banded. Julie
  5. Lean meats are the highest in protein and stick with you the longest. I am finding that I must eat solids to feel full. When you are on liquids, I would say to make sure you eat your protein shakes. They are the most important. Julie
  6. Herbalife should be fine. Just make sure you are getting the bang for the buck and getting at least 25 grams of protein for your shake. If not, I would switch. Good luck.
  7. Beachgirl, I love hearing stories like this. I remember when I had gained 8 lbs too. A fill helped me as well. Congrats on your weight loss. I can tell you are totally committed due to the fact that you have to drive so far. Congrats and keep up the good work. Julie
  8. Forgive yourself and move on. Have you had a fill yet? If not, I would get one. That will help with your motivation too. Just remind yourself why you did this. Move your food addiction to healthier choices. Like a pudding cup that is under 100 calories. Its all about choices. You can still enjoy chocolate, you just need to find one that is lower in calories. Try and stay to 1k calories a day you and you will lose. Julie
  9. Boy does this bring back the memories. Thanks for the share. I too moved to extra strength tylenol pretty quickly. Congrats on being banded. Julie
  10. Good for you. It is an exciting time. I remember it well. Congrats on getting banded! Julie
  11. Sounds like your surgery went perfect. Good for you! Congrats on being banded. Julie
  12. Congrats on making this life changing decision. I hope your surgery goes well for you. YOu will love being banded. Julie
  13. Cindy, you are doing great. Congrats on the plastic surgery. I can't wait to have mine! Julie
  14. That is great news. Good luck with your approval and surgery. Julie
  15. Sandi, congrats on being banded. You will love it. Julie
  16. Caroline, you are so pretty. I chose the lapband because it is reversible and adjustable. I love being banded. I've lost 50 lbs in 10 months. I am considered an average/slow loser at 1 lb per week. Good luck with your decision. I don't regret it at all. Julie
  17. Berry, make sure you are eating solid protein always. This will keep your hunger down. Good luck. Julie
  18. You should probably take a week off of work. The lifting part will need to go away until your 6 week check up. Julie
  19. Yes, this can happen. I think you can have it positioned through general anastetic. Good luck. Julie
  20. I don't know why but probably something to do with the way the body handles a regular pill. Congrats on your weight loss and being banded. Julie
  21. I remember how it was for me early on. I gained weight before I started getting good restriction so hang in there. Julie
  22. Shell, how many calories a day do you take in? It is recommended that you take in 800-1k calories a day as a bandster. Does your trainer have you on a weight loss program. Mine wanted me to eat a ton of food but I couldn't. Julie
  23. Dori, it took me 5 fills and 8 months to find the best fill level so be patient. Also, keep in mind that the average weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. Some people lose a lot faster but don't be discouraged. The weight loss will come.
  24. Thanks for the suggestion of the Nectar Capuccino, I just ordered it. I can use as much protein as possible. Thanks again. Julie
  25. Hi There, welcome to the boards. Congrats on your weight loss to date. Julie
