Banded less than 24 hours ago!

Ok, I guess it's time for my official introduction. I was banded with Dr. Spivak yesterday morning. Surgery day was the pits but today I feel great. Just minor pressure in my mid-section, and a sore throat.

I have been on the site here for a few months and it's nice to finally be in band land! Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement! :) This site is the best.

Good morning band budy! I'm feeling great too. I was banded yesterday as well, with Dr. Carter. I had a great sleep last night, I was able to sleep on my back and on my right side. I feel some minor presssure in the mid-sec as well, and some back pain, but not that bad. Good luck in this new journey. I'll be doing my best to have the best success.:clap2:

Congrats to both of you.....I am still waiting for my doctor consult and ins. approval...I can only hope that if/when I finally get my "new life" I feel as good as you two sound like you do.....What an inspiration....I will keep watching for posts from both of you for updates.

Congrats to both of you. You are both an inspiration. This site is great. I have learned so much. I was so happy to hear that eventually I will be able to eat all my favorite foods (just not in the quantity that I do now). Can anyone tell me how long I will be out of work for. I am a cashier in a supermarket (part-time while my kids are in school) and am on my feet all day and lifting heavy things. Thanks.

This has nothing to do with lapbanding but how do you put your tickerfactory counter on. I have gone to that website and did mine but I dont know how to get it onto my site. And the same goes for wannabethins dates she has has on hers.....Sorry if this is a dumb question but this one has stumped me...

Thanks

Congrats, Shine!!!

Woo Hoo!!

We are all thinking good thoughts for a speedy recovery.

Hugs!

Band Girl - no heavy lifting for 3-4 weeks. Get a confirmation from your doc - but you are going to have to get some stock-boys to help you lift for at least 3 weeks.

I can't figure this out either. If you figure it out please post it.

Thanks

You need to go to User Control Panel, edit signature, that's where you paste your ticker and write your dates. Let me know if it works.

Bandgirl - I think this varies for everyone. If you have to stand all day at your job I'd recommend booking a week off to be on the safe side. I will be returning a little earlier but only because I have an office job. Good luck to you!

congrats new bandies!! I have not received a surgery date yet...but will once insurance stops damgling hoops for me to jump thru. I am reading and watching...and waiting...and pleased to be a part of your wonderful, brave, courageous, fun-loving, ever-changing, growing, supportive world. So there!
