Its wonderful about your date. I am soooo happy for you. Its really unfortunate about the layoff bu you will be saving on your grocery bills. I am from the country too and very familiar with putting up the fruits and veggies. Made any pickles this summer?

largest incision problem
It will be fine, I had a lap scar from a surgery yrs ago and it faded away and nearly disappeared. With the weight loss it will be even less visible

Do we always have to talk about the sleeve?
There are times in everyones life that there is emotional pain and ending a relationship is one of those times. A wise friend once told me that pain is inevitable but suffering is optional..I think that applies here

Post Op Weight Loss
I bought it at Jenny Craig, It is a digital scale, I think it was 50 dollars as a member but not sure what it is as a non member. I know they have a variety at Bed bath and beyond but not sure if they show water and fat %

Post Op Weight Loss
I believe that has to be true because that is when I hit my stall. I have noticed that the fat % on the scale has gone down but the water weight % has increased. I have decided to be patient. I will get there one way or the other and I love that I am not gaining anything.

How to talk to your PCP?
I personally feel that when we stop putting physicians on a pedistal then our relationships with them as consumers will be alot better and patients can be more honest. Alot of information patients give the doctors is either a total lie or embellished due to fear of being judged. Fact is, they should be the ones that fear us, we are, like the statement above, the boss, we are in charge. There are other doctors out there and they could lose a paying patient. imho Doctors are just people and many no more educated than we are, they are just in another field. If they needed a building demolished, they would be coming to me. That when I choose to bow to them. Keep the ball in your court.

Day 4 of liquid diet
You have just had major surgery, your body needs time to adjust and it wouldnt be surprising for it to take 2 weeks to do it. Have you ever had the flu that put you flat on your back for a few days? It takes at least 10 days to recover your strength and get back to normal. Hang it there, this too shall pass

Do we always have to talk about the sleeve?
I have to confess, I have been the one who has seen the fat woman/cute guy couples and wonder what the 'F.....? How did she get somewhat like that and why not me? I also wonder what their life is really like behind the scenes so to speak. Is he a wife beater, does he have some wierd hangups or fettishes. God who knows, maybe she just like to give great bj's. At any rate, I thought I would confess my curiosities.

What do you want to do that you couldn't do before the sleeve?

Food network
I agree we can definitely grieve the loss of our love for food. It is like any addict who grieves over having to give up their fix for their drug of choice. A very normal response and a necessary one for us. I still watch the food network and like all of the same shows that tiffykins does. My daughter is a chef and a very good one so it became a natural thing for us to watch together. Her suggestion is to watch them create their great recipes and try to figure out a way to do the same thing in a healthier way. She is really good at it and I am learning alot from her. She is a natural talent when it comes to cooking. She takes after her grandmothers.

Some are clueless
Tiffykins, How the heck are you girl, you have been missed, I mean....seriously missed.
