  1. :thumbup:Hey Don't worry, put the faith in your doctors, and a higher power and you will be fine. Just stay positive. I was banded on August 28, 2008 and I have gone through many many emotions after surgery which is all part of the healing process. Just remember that you are so much stronger than you think. You will soon be moving around like before and don't do too much. Just take it easy and concentrate on healing, do everything that your doctors and nutritionists tell you and you will be just fine, DO NOT RUSH IT!! This forum has helped me soooooo much. I feel great mentally and am strating to look better too. Started at 308 lbs and weighed today at 279 Very pleased!!!! Keep in touch OK and All the best, always Andrea
  2. It tastes better than regular yogurt and is thicker in consistency, try it it is very good and is full of protein. Check with a local health food store that carries it, they will tell you about it or just google it for more info.
  3. HI cAROL i TOO WAS BANDED ON THE 28, DOING REALLY GREAT ON FULL LIQUIDS UNTIL sUNDAY ADN THEN BLENDED FOODS, I HOPE THAT I don't run out of ideas but if i do this forum will help with that. how are you feeling.
  4. Me too my husband isn't too happy about that :smile: anyway, it is because you are probably in Ketosis (spelling????) that means your body is burning fat, just brush your teeth more often and your tonge too, drink lots of Water, it will pass once you start eating food and chewing. :smile:
  5. Hi Queenbee: I was banded on the 27 of August, I will definately check those out hopefully they taste good Doing well lost 20 so far since I last saw the doc, on my scale anyway. WE just bought a new scale that tells you all kinds of things, how much Water is in your body, weight, BMI, some other stuff pretty cool. (Bed Bath and Beyond about $90.00, well worth it) keep up the good work and keep in touch with your progress. Take Care, Andrea :cool2:
  6. I get the dizzies too I am 1 week out and think it's because of not too much water going in, I feel better when I drink more and I am sure when I go t o mushy foods I will feel better. Keep in touch. ANdrea

  12. :confused_smile:hello all I had my surgery and this is day 2 I am feeling major anxiety and want to hear how long it took for some of you to start to feel normal again. I keep getting flushed cheeks and don't want to be left alone. please help.

We here I am 2 days post op and still feel nervous, but keep in mind that you will feel better and as long as you have support of your family, you will be all the better. just try not too worry too much you will be great when you get through it all. I can only focus on getting better and soon I will be eating food and feeling better soon. Good luck and stay focused on the end of the rainbow. Andrea

Came home yesterday, feel ok, just a little nervous about getting over the recovery period Anyway, I have a lump in my throught, kinda feel like I have to cough up something, I had 1/2 ice pop and water, and will go for a walk in a while. Sleeping wan't too bad for me last night, I started propped up then went to the couch. still hard to take a deep breath. ar issues.
  15. We'll here I go taking the biggest risk of my life so far, but I always say it is the successful people that take chances and I am going to be successful, wish me luck and I will be back on when I get home on Thursday I believe:thumbup:
  16. My doctor never told me to eat food before the surgery but I am doing Protein shakes anyway tomorrow is my surgery and just wanted to say that i hope that I can get trhough not eating for a while, i will have to stay very busy. Good luck to you. Andrea :w00t:

Burlington County, not too far from Vineland, been to the ice rink many many times. my surgery is tommorrow at University of Penn Hospital, Dr. Matthew Kirkland.   23. not to be funny, but there may be some underlying factors there that you may have to deal with and professionals may help you, good luck and I wish you all of the best.
