  1. That didn't work. I have had my local phone company check out my service. They can't find anything wrong. I don't know what to do from here.
  2. I know that this has been mentioned before, but since I am experiencing it right now... You know you are a bandster when the thermastat reads 78 degrees, but your feet feel like ice cubes.
  3. I don't know. I haven't been able to just look at posts in the forum for over a month. I can get to my subscribed threads, but as soon as I click on a thread in the forum, my IE basically crashes.
  4. Well crap, you mean I couldn't eat that double cheeseburger the day of surgery like they said?:tt2:
  5. Most of the time, DH is a keeper.
  6. Who said anything about wearing them out?
  7. DH likes to have me buy really tall shoes to wear every once in a while. Even with those, he still has to bend down. I can't wait for the day when he can lift me.:tt2:
  8. Let's see if I can do this from memory. I have parental controls on the computer (got them before DS even started using the computer). I have all chat blocked. I have parental controls on the cell phone (thank you at&t). My mom isn't 5ft (even though she has claimed it for years), but she always had my respectful fear of her. I think because I had heard all of the stories of my grandmother (taking a broom to them) that I figured my mom already had all of the good ideas for beating me. I didn't want to chance it. Our biggest problem was she didn't talk to me about sex (something else she learned from her mother). I had to learn that one on my own. Needless to say, she was not happy with that. I have already had some talks with DS (he is 11 already starting puberty). I have been talking to him on a level that I felt he could understand since he was old enough to ask about the differences in moms and dads. He gets very embarrassed when we have those talks. I tall guys. I am 5ft 1.5 (on a good day:blush:). DH is somewhere between 6ft3 and 6ft4. I have always gone for the guys that I almost have to stand on a stool to kiss.:tt2:
  9. TW will work (although with much back talk) if he feels he will get something out of it. For example, we have told him that the only way he will get an allowance is for him to do him chores without being told (taking out the garbage and cleaning his room). If I have to tell him, he doesn't get anything. He doesn't like that, but rules are rules. Of course, he has only done his chores without being told once. Everytime he asks why he hasn't gotten an allowance, I remind him of what he was supposed to do to get it. He does his chores, but not without being told. He seems to think (like a lot of boys) that having a nasty room is ok. Not in my house!
  10. You are so right about that. DS started this year. Last year, I never had to worry about his talking back or anything like that. Now, all I have to do is tell him to do something simple like, take is plate to the kitchen, to get back talk. I am open to suggestions, too.
  11. He does both. He will skirt around the truth. He will tell you the truth, but not the whole truth. Other times, he just tells an outright lie. The outright lies are fewer now, but the sneaky lies are getting more.
  12. I'm on vacation this week. It has flown by! If I had been at work, I am sure it would not be Thursday yet. Susan, that is great about your kids. I have told DS that he can talk to me any time about any thing. At this point, he talks to me, but he still will try to pass off little lies. I have told him that it is better to always tell me the truth so that if a situation ever comes up that he NEEDS me to believe him, I can with no reservation. I told him that if he lies to me about little things, how will I ever be able to believe him on the big things? I don't know if that is working yet. We shall see.
  13. See, how do you let them know that they aren't getting over on you without letting them know that you did it too? I am so afraid that my son is going to be a mini version of his dad. I am trying really hard to nip that in the bud now!
  14. Thanks Alex. I just followed the instructions. I will let you know how it goes.
  15. I am having trouble. I can usually get to my first thread, but when I click on a second thread to read, it doesn't load. It eventually will go to the 500 server error, or will finally load after 10 minutes with errors on the page. I usually start with this url http://www.lapbandtalk.com/usercp.php in order to get my subscribed threads that have new postings.
  16. Do you wonder if she went into her last few pregnancies hoping for a large multiple birth situation? I wonder if this was a part of her "grand" plan the entire time. To have a multiple birth in hopes of cashing in like all of the shows you see on TV now. That maybe after each pregnancy that only came with one birth, that she went back in hopes of this pregnancy being THE ONE. I keep trying to come up with some twisted logic to understand how she could have done this to her children that she claims to love. I can't come up with one. I did not have more children because I knew that I could not afford to bring up more than one without living hand to mouth. I so feel for these children. Even with the help of the nurses, these children will have problems (mental and physical) for years to come.
  17. Well said babygrl1234!
  18. What is that? Yay!
  19. Anyone else not getting emails? I was shocked to find responses.
  20. Amen sister!
