Are you doing anything for bandaversary?
We have the same bandiversary date!!! I am getting my band re-filled on 10/6! That's my celebration. :scared2: I was way too tight on 9/18 and had to have my liquid removed...emergency trip to the ER. Stress at work and upcoming flight out of town made my Dr. decide to remove all restriction. You are doing so great!!! Congratulations! I'm pretty proud of my 65 lbs, too. I feel great. I just bought 2 pair of SIZE 14 jeans at lunch today! That was an awesome experience!

Hello??
Hey!! You are doing great! I can't believe it has been almost a year since I got my band! I had to have my fill removed last Friday and I have ZERO restriction now. I go on my BANDIVERSARY to get re-filled. What a celebration! LOL

Does anyone color their own hair?
I have tried it once because I have not patience. It was okay...but I went and got highlights afterward. I am so thankful that my mom is a beautician! :biggrin:

Slight Unfill and now a lot less restriction
I had to have an "unfill" back in February and he only took out just a little bit. I felt so much better but had the restriction. Some days more than others. How long have you waited since the unfill??? It's so weird because it varies so much for me. I was filled (#3) yesterday morning (early) from 5 to 5.5 cc's and yesterday I was fine...today I am so tight I can hardly stand it. I'm waiting a while to call the dr.

stress=unfill
I had my 3rd fill yesterday and I'm under a lot of stress at work...I mean a lot! I'm thinking I may have made a mistake getting this done now. I am TIGHT today...really tight. I hope things get better for you.

Boobies...Shrinking?
My cup size has only gone from a DD to a D, but I have shrunk from a 44 to a 38 around!

Raise your hand if your first "episode" was with...
chicken tenders!!! It's so funny at our LapBand support meetings....just about everyone who talks about any "bad" episodes has had them with chicken tenders! LOL :blushing: Do I still eat them? Yes. But much more carefully.

How are you doing so far ????
Hey! I haven't stopped by here in a while, but wanted to say that getting the LapBand was the best decision I've made in a long time! I just got back from the beach and felt GREAT in my new bathing suits, new outfits, etc. I still have a way to go, but it's great to finally get some of this weight off! I wish everyone the best!:blushing: Cindy

Dr. Gary Robinson - Dr. Gary Robinson is my surgeon!
I was banded by Dr. Robinson on October 6, 2008 and I'm down 55 pounds as of today. I've had a couple of fills (and one "unfill" -- just a little) and I'm at a good place right now. I feel great. I recommend Dr. Robinson to anyone in the area considering the procedure. It was one of the best things I've done -- No regrets!!!

Can't get liquids down!!
I experienced the same thing after my 2nd fill. I had to go back and get some liquid removed from my band. Just a little bit...but it helped a lot!

1st Fill Today!
I hope everything went well (or will go well...not sure if you've been in, yet.) I had my 2nd fill yesterday (6cc's in a 10cc band) and I am TIGHT today. I mean TIGHT. I couldn't even drink my Protein shake at Breakfast. Dr. said no food for 72 hours...and I don't think I'll have a problem with abiding by his orders. Neither of my actual fills have hurt at all, though.

W-S Newbie Considering Lap Band
Hi Mary! I'm in Mocksville. When my insurance approved me to have the surgery, I was very surprised and a little torn on whether to do it. Then I went to an information meeting and met someone who had the surgery who made me feel even more sure that it was the right thing for me. I am so glad I got the Lap Band! :thumbup:I wish you all the best. If you have questions for me, feel free to shoot me an email. Cindy

1st Period after banding on 11/18
After posting my question about going for a fill when having TOM....I had a bad experience. A very bad experience. NOW I fully understand both SLIMING and PB'ing! Notes to self: During TOM I am much tighter. AND, when eating meat (1 chicken tender yesterday), CHEW, CHEW, CHEW!!!!! Needless to say, I didn't get a fill yesterday. My dr. is pleased with my progress and says to just be more careful not to get myself in this predicament again. All is well today, but yesterday was scary.

Discouraged
You are doing great! Don't be discouraged. You just made it through the holidays doing I would think a whole lot better than years in the past! You'll see a big change after your fill. Wait and see! Hang in there and be happy! :laugh:

1st Period after banding on 11/18
Okay...while we're on this subject -- I have an appointment at 3:00 today w/ the surgeon, possibly for another fill. This is my first full day of TOM and I feel like crap. Should I re-schedule the appt??? I'm not even sure he was planning to do a fill today....

LapBand = Better Sex
I seriously thought you were being sarcastic. Mine is scared that I'll lose my boobs...but otherwise, he's happy so far.
