  1. Hi! You're doing great! I wish you continued success. Cindy
  2. I know it's probably because I'm feeling better about the way I look....but WOW, it has been amazing lately!!! Can anyone else relate??
  3. I'm attending my second LapBand Support Group meeting tomorrow after work. I LOVE these things! It is so exciting to actually get to spend time in person with others that are going through the same experiences and being able to share information! I love this site, but actually meeting others in person is even better.
  4. My surgery was at around 7:00 am on a Monday and I had to spend the night in the hospital. The next morning, I had to drink some really nasty stuff and have an X-Ray before I could come home. It was early, though.
  5. Best of luck to you Michelle! Hopefully your hubby will come around and be more supportive, but you can do this. Let us know how your surgery goes. I have no regrets. I love my band!
  6. Great photos!!! Congratulations! Okay...here's my "thing" -- I go with my BFF's to the beach in June every year. This year I will wear a tankini and look HOT. Not because I want to find a man because I already have one (LOL), but just because I want to look good for myself.
  7. Hey Beth! You're off to a great start and have such a wonderful attitude! I wish you all the best and look forward to talking to you more on this site.
  8. Hi! You are off to a great start!
  9. Welcome Matt! Sorry for your pain and for your little accident. Hope things are getting better. Congrats on the loss!
  10. Welcome Grace! I, too am on the East Coast! With you considering LapBand, this site is a great place to browse around! Read the success stories, the surgery day stories, etc... You will learn a lot, just like I did. I love my band and have no regrets! I wish you all the best! Cindy

  12. I'm so sorry you are going through this! I didn't experience this -- My surgery was in October and I haven't puked at all. I hope they can give you relief at the Dr. office today!
  13. Just once for a basic psych exam and clearance.
  14. I had some of those "what am I doing?" moments before I had the surgery. But I can honestly say that I have not regretted it once. I have not had any major problems...I haven't experienced the major gas pains, I haven't puked at all, and I feel great! Since my first fill, I have experienced that "I can't eat another bite" feeling a couple of times and it's not pleasant, but it's a tool to help me not eat as much. That's what I need! I wish you all the best and look forward to hearing your updates! Cindy
  15. Attending a seminar would be the best thing for you. I know I had to watch a 45-min video that went into great detail. And then the surgeon came in and answered questions. It helped me a lot! And the fact that his nurse that was leading the meeting had just had the procedure done about 4 months prior helped me even more. I wanted to ask HER questions instead of the surgeon.
  16. Welcome! I hope all goes well and that you hear something soon.
  17. I think Jodi hit the nail on the head! I totally agree with that statement.
  18. Way to go!!! I handled the holidays pretty well, too! This band is awesome!
  19. I miss it, too! I'm scared to try it because of the rice, though. I haven't eaten any form of rice since my surgery.
  20. I have United Healthcare and I had to fill out a huge packet of information -- 5 year history. With the help of my primary care physician and the nurse at the surgeon's office, we got it all completed. It was well worth the time and effort. I love my band!
  21. Welcome Ella! How are you doing since your surgery? How much have you lost? I feel great and can definitely say that my Lap Band changed my life as well. Hope to hear more from you.
  22. Welcome! Good luck with your band.
  23. My man finally noticed last night. He commented out of the blue that I was getting "skinnier". Made me feel so good!
  24. I just HAD to tell you guys about my NSV last night. My boyfriend has not said a whole lot about my weight loss other than to say that my boobs are shrinking. Well, out of the blue last night he said, "You are getting skinnier....I can tell." It blew me away. Then I weighed this morning and saw that I had lost (after having a pretty non-productive December). I feel good today!!! Here's to a very HAPPY 2009!!!
