  1. Can you take birth control pills?

    My surgeon instructed me to stop taking the pills 1 month prior to my surgery date to minimize risk of blood clots. I was banded 8 days ago so with the doctor's "ok" I'm just waiting for my cycle to start to begin taking the pills again. Good Luck to you!

    Hello all, I'm Mehgan from CT and was just banded a week ago today. Found this group online while searching lap band topics and think it'll be a wonderful support tool. So far (including 2 week pre-op diet) I am down about 25lbs and looking forward to continued success!
