  1. Just looked it up, and it has virtually no protein at all. I only eat stuff with protein. Thanks anyways.
  2. TY for this. I will def check out Healthwise. I would kill for some lasagna right about now. LOL
  3. TY for theses ideas. I will have to check it out. I will also look for the no sugar sauce.
  4. Thank you for this idea. My local supermarket doesn't have stuff like this. I will have to search for somewhere that has it. I love chickpeas so I would love to try that one first.
  5. I also did not like any of the choices of the shakes. Neither powder, or pre mixed. I tried just about all of them. The only one I could stand was the Fairlife vanilla. I would mix it with strawberries in the blender. I was also nervous about reaching the protein goal. I was probably only having about 30 a day. I spoke with my nutritionist, and she told me not to worry and that soon I would be eating more, and be able to reach the daily goal. Now I am eating more than the required amount per day. I usually reach around 90-100. Sometimes I have to force myself to eat because I am not hungry, but when I eat, I make sure it is a lot of protein.
  6. That stinks...I hope you can still get your surgery after all you have been thru.
  7. Oh Ok TY I will look for the Life Cuisine at my grocery store. The store where I shop, has limited choices. I am thinking that I will have to try different stores to find these things.
  8. Does the veggie pasta, etc hold up to regular pasta?
  9. I have never even heard of chickpea and cauliflower pasta? I will have to look for it at the store.
  10. So I am now close to being 6 months post op. My doc told me not to eat rice, pasta, bread, etc. I was told that these things can stretch out your pouch? My nutritionist, on the other hand said I could try whole wheat pita bread. She also agreed with the doc, and told me not to eat rice, or pasta. I am craving pasta so bad! I was a big pasta eater before the surgery, having it at least 2-3 times a week. Did anyone eat pasta, or rice at this point? If so, how was it on your belly?
  11. I recently started eating Lean Cuisine & Healthy Choice frozen meals. I only eat the ones with meat & veggies, which are hard to find. Most of them have pasta, and rice. My favorite is the turkey with veggies. It has a lot of carbs though from the sweet potato. Does anyone else eat these? Do you eat a different brand? Are there any flavors you like & want to share?
  12. I only eat Progresso light soups. I take all the pasta out of the meatball one, and add green beans, and chickpeas (for more protein). The only other one I eat is the chicken pot pie one, and add to it also. I eat soup 2 x's a week for dinner.
  13. Please let us know how it goes. I am very curious about this tummy tuck procedure. I have the same things as you. Belly sticks out but I am small everywhere else. I never thought about the chin area but it is a problem.
  14. Thanks for the suggestions. I love Wendy's chili but didn't even think of that. I would love to try Panera's also.
  15. I am almost 6 months out, and the only thing I have had that we haven't made at home is a small cheese pizza. I could only eat 1 pc. Then for Valentine's day, we ordered Chinese, and all I ate was some chicken and broccoli. As far as burgers go, we make ours at home, and I eat it without the bun. I wrap it in lettuce leaves with sliced tomatoes. I am craving Chick Fila. I used to eat the nuggets there until I found out they are fried.
  16. I was told not to count soup as a "water". I was told to eat soup as a meal. It doesn't make any sense, since the broth of the soup is like drinking a liquid. Everyone's plans are so different, so I would check with your doctor.
  17. I only tried the vanilla ones, and didn't care for them. I will have to try the chocolate ones, everyone says they taste so good.
  18. I just tried these, and love them. I was never a huge fan of popcorn. Hubby eats it all the time. I took a bite of his, and went back to eating my edamame.
  19. I wouldn't be exercising to lose weight necessarily. It was just because my arms have been feeling weak lately. Knowing that you didn't start until 2 yrs later, makes me feel a lot better. TY
  20. Yes, It helped me as well. Also I noticed that if I eat before bedtime, I have this problem. I stopped eating after dinner now.
  21. Not only has that changed for the better, but I am off almost all meds except 2. I was on 13 prior to my surgery.
  22. Everyone's plans are different. I would call your doctor to see exactly what they want you to do.
  23. Yes, I am going to try to lift some because my arms are weak.
