Protein Shakes
The ONLY ones I can drink are Fairlife Caramel, and Chocolate. I do not like any other kinds. I tried so many of them as time went by. Some of them actually made me sick.

Protein Shakes
I am so happy that my doctors office FINALLY told me that I can count my protein shakes as liquid. I am just past 6 months, and all along they kept telling me to count it as a snack, or a replacement meal. I have been having such a hard time getting in all the liquid, plus the shakes, plus the food. This alleviates some of the pressure.

Goddess Salad Dressing
Thank you to everyone who recommended the Goddess Salad Dressing from Trader Joe's. I tried some last night, and I love it!

Caloric intake
We were told not to count calories, only protein, sugar, and carbs.

How muck protein is too much?
Some days I find myself having well over 100, and other days I am lucky to reach the expected goal. It all depends on what I eat. I asked my doc about it when I had the 6 month follow up, and they said its fine.

Lots of questions
I was a huge pot smoker, for over 30 years. I actually quit when I knew I had to have this surgery. When I went to the classes, they told us we could not smoke anything, or we wouldn't be able to have the surgery. They never actually tested me, as far as I know. Maybe when they did the blood work, I was tested.

Meeting with surgeon
Funny, I thought the same after meeting my surgeon. I guess its true that all the staff, and nurses do all the work, and give you all the advice.

Surgery is Tomorrow.
Bring chap stick or some type of lip balm. My lips got so dry during my hospital stay. Also mouth spray, as your mouth will be very dry. I wish someone had told me this before my surgery.

Facial wrinkles
I noticed it too. It is happening to me as we speak. People always used to tell me how young I looked, even though I was overweight. Now, with the weight loss I have noticed how I do not get the same compliments. I am only 6 months out. I look like I have aged about 10 years.

Scared and Nervous
I used to eat chocolate every single day. Now to satisfy my craving, I have Bariatric Pals Hot Cocoa. I also used to eat ice cream every day, and now I eat a Yasso Greek Yogurt bar. You will find different, healthier versions of what you are currently used of. That is how it worked for me. Good Luck

Bypass saggy skin
I am only 6 months out, and I have it big time. It makes me look like an old lady. I am only 51. It looks like chicken neck. I hate it. I won't be able to do surgery for at least 6 more months, if I decide to do it at all.

45 mg Iron/Constipated
I will try to eat more fiber first. If it doesn't work, then I will take something for it.

45 mg Iron/Constipated
I will try to eat more fiber. I will NOT eat the gummies after reading the awful reviews on Amazon!

45 mg Iron/Constipated
After reading the reviews on Amazon, I would NEVER eat any of these!! OMG

45 mg Iron/Constipated
For the first 6 months of post op, I was taking Pro Care Health Bariatric Multivitamin without Iron. I pooped on an average of 6+ times a day. I know.....TMI, but this is a real problem. Since I had my 6 month follow up, the docs told me to take the same vitamins, but the one with 45 mg of Iron. I have been on them now for about 2 weeks. Now I am constipated, cramps, really have to push to poop, and it hurts my bum really bad. I am only going every other day now. This is a HUGE change from before, in only a short period of time. I am very worried that this is now the norm for me. I don't know if there is anything I can do about it. I just want a happy medium. Any suggestions would be great.

Protein Oatmeal
Thanks for the advice.

Hot Cocoa
Yes it is a must to try. You may like it better than the protein shakes. I def do.

Protein Oatmeal
Mixing in some real peaches might just work. Thank You for the idea.

Protein Oatmeal
That is a great idea. I will try it. It will be much cheaper than buying all these other products.

Body Image Issues
I have lost a total of 77 lbs. I am still not happy with the way I look. Hubby keeps telling me that I look "so skinny", and starting to look "sickly". I actually try to avoid the mirror now, more than I did before the surgery. I think we are all so critical of ourselves, and the way we look. I am much healthier now, so that is what I try to focus on.

Got sick
Salmon is one of my favorite foods. I couldn't eat it until almost 5 months out. The smell alone, made me feel sick. It gets better with time.

Protein Oatmeal
I recently bought/tried the Bariatric Pal Peaches & Cream Oatmeal. It is not good at all. Very weird consistency. It also tasted very bland. For the costs of these things, you would think they at least tasted good. Another waste of $$$.
-
Protein cereal
Oh Thanks for the good idea. I will have to try this.

Quick Question: Does any liquid count towards water goal?
I was told that only water counted as water. Soup was counted as a meal. Protein drinks were also counted as meal, or snack.
