Holidays and cooking
You will survive the holidays I promise. I had to do thanksgiving on a mushie diet this year so it was tough but I got through it. You actually learn to enjoy the holidays for other reasons, and not have food be the center. When the holidays come about offer to bring dishes. Sugar free pudding dessert, jello. Fruit salad, veggie dishes. A good tool would be to get your hands on a weight loss surgery cook book. They have delicious recipes and ideas. Good luck to you.

I wish I had asked my surgeon

helpppppp please
I have federal blue cross blue shield. I had to have a bmi over 35 and have issues related to my obesity. I had things I had to do for my surgeon but nothing that affected my insurance. The overall cost out of pocet besides my copays for doc visits, was $145.00 which was basically just for the anesthesia (spelling?) . I am so happy I made the decision to have this done, it has been 100% worth it. Although there are tough times, it is so worth it to get my life back. Good luck to you, keep your head up.

I made my consult apt
At the psych eval they just want to get to know you a bit. They might give you a personality test and ask you questions to make sure you are sound of mind. At the dietician they will show you the way you should eat after surgery. They will probably also have you start preparing things like what kind of protein drink you will use. Both appointments are pretty simple , nothing drastic. Congrats on this journey and please keep us updated.

Anyone revise to a DS?
I am sorry this happened to you. Although I have no answers for you I am sending you well wishes. I hope things get better for you, and you continue down a happy and healthy path.

can anyone help me please!!!!
my surgeon says you should wait 2 weeks after a fill and see where you are. If you have little or no change then they will bring you back in. They say it takes about two weeks for your bosy to get used to it.

I need someone to talk to
I also had a lot of stressful things going on in my life during the week of my surgery. instead of being upset and things I focused all my attention on getting prepared for the surgery. I hope that you do the same and try to keep yourself as busy as possible. Remember there are thousands of us on here with the click of a button. If you have any questions or just need to vent, email, or message me anytime. I hope everything goes well, remember this is for you, and you deserve it.

8 months in and NOW I can not eat ...
like it was said before, you should see your surgeon, and I mean right away! I know my surgeon will have you in there in a quick minute if he knew these symptoms, so demand it. Good luck to you, and keep us updated.

Need Suggestions/Advice
I mix pills with either applesauce or yogurt and you can hardly taste them.

need help
I would start journeling our food, it helps make you more accountable in what your eating. Your fill is right around the corner, so for now make sure if you are snacking its healthy and has protein. Try getting in some more protein that will help you stay full for longer. I hope that helps a little. Good luck.

How long did you wait before getting 2nd fill?
I waited about 3 1/2 weeks from my first fill. Everyone is different so if you are feeling like you need another one make an appointment. I know my doc will not give you an appointment until after 2 weeks from the last fill you had. Good luck.

please help!
You should definitely see your surgeon as soon as possible, or go to the emergency room, they can at least do a test to see what is going on. Good luck to you.

My biggest fear right now
Don't let the problems that could happen hinder you from doing this. The way I looked at it was there are far more complications for staying overweight. There are pros and cons for everything, focus on what this will do to benefit your health.Good luck:thumbup:
