Anyone lose friends after Lap Band?
My closest friend and I are as close as ever. She's a skinny mini cutie and has supported the whole thing! Even goes to the gym with me. My boyfriend dumped me after the surgery and my other close friend who I went out with nearly every weekend completely stopped talking to me. She is also quite heavy and I think that has a lot to do with it in my situation

How long did you wait before getting 2nd fill?
I had my first fill on May 11th. I feel like it wasn't enough and feel I should go back in for another. Im curious, how long did everyone wait between their 1st and 2nd fill?

Full Signal???
I have to measure everything... I still don't know when I'm full until I'm OVER full and then I get a sharp pain in my left shoulder. Im interested to hear what others say.

slime and PBing question
PB stands for Productive Burp. Thats when food will come back up in a burp. I've had this happen once... since then I've majorly chewed my food. I couldn't stand the sensation!

Do you wake up with a tube in your throat?
Nope... They remove the tube before you fully wake up.

It sounds like your band has slipped. Did you call your doctor yet? If not I would so he can look at it!

Gas pain in shoulder - 10 days post op
There is another thread here about the left shoulder pain. I too have suffered from left shoulder pain since my surgery on 3/30. Apparently there is a nerve at the bottom of your esophagus that is connected to your left shoulder. In the other thread someone noted that it tends to flare up when either hungry or over full. Now that I've been aware of it being a nerve issue I noticed that for me it happens after I've eaten. I now measure EVERYTHING I eat... It's getting better... But I still have pain from time to time.

How LonG???
I was able to sleep on my rightside at the hospital after surgery (my port is on my leftside) The only way I was able to lay on my side was to take a pillow and press it to my stomach as I rolled slowly to my side. After about 10 days it didn't hurt much at all to lay on my side. I can now lay on my leftside without any issues. (Banded 3/30/09)

Thanks for sharing!! Congrats on the success from all your hard work! You look fab! I definitely think I need to use a measuring cup instead of eyeballing it like I have been doing.

Glad to hear the fill went good! My belching is already getting a lot better!!! Nothing is more embarrassing then loud stomach noises followed by a belch during a staff meeting! lol!
