  1. I was given purees at 1 week well mainly cause i seemed to be hurling the shakes and the shakes caused some kind of strange gurgling noise in my throat as well. I was regurging the shakes all night long. At 4 weeks i start the next part and was given a handout for it. I did surgery aug 28. I am not allowed to have beef or pork yet so the meat kind is limited. I have had egg white w cheese and fish filet which were good. everything else i puree into baby food goo lol
  2. purreeee it in the magic bullet with some type of sauce like nacho cheese bbq etc something zippy yet something that helps it go down. It doesn't look appealing but doesnt get stuck
  3. I only do one ounce. Also i puree the chicken into a creamy goo. I want to try two ounces today. Today i am trying ground turkey seasoned with taco seasoning and some nacho cheese. Chicken can be heavy and at 3/4 ounce make my nose run sometimes which my nutritionist says some people have as a sign pouch is full. I cant imagine eating 4 ounce all at once lol
  4. pain and discomfort should not go unmentioned as well as getting all the protein water in with small pouch. maybe in a year ill have the hang of it and be pain free. however i went from 300 to 260s in the blink of an eye so theres that so far lol
  5. I do but im only in week two i think
  6. I read On this forum when this happens people walk alot and it helps
  7. The surgeon still has to wait for the pathology report which processing times vary. Its for the hplori and anyother sites they biopsy. I was given a surgery date after it Was processed though which was scheduled about two weeks later. Each step is a step closer ? hang in there!
  8. Not sure about any of that but was allowed to start pureed early and i love it try throwing some cooked chicken in the magic bullet with low carb bbq sauce mm
  9. i am thankful that i can now sleep laying down and stopped regurgitating as much lol
  10. Hi congrats on having a surgery date. I was sick with gatorade post op. I did try it though because I thought it would help with preventing dehydration. My pouch just prefers ice cold water. Its a bit puritan lol. I read another lady on here had a kidney stone with similar symptom to yours so it may not be the gatorade. Hope everything goes well with surgery!
  11. recenlty had mine too was so nice to sleep in my own bed still in pain but optimistic about it lol welcome back
  12. cool im in puree and mine is similar
  13. i would say be careful not to stock up too much on any one thing. i bought a lot of broth (better than bullion) and that was the first thing i hurled in the hospital lol will try the broths again when further out. the shake texture also seems worse after just my experience
  14. ending up modifying the recipe with some turkey meatball lol
  15. I did rny and my surgeon does golf ball sized pouch and all the things you said is true. hard to get in water etc. it varies by surgeon. gastric bypass can hold less than sleeve so dont compare the golf ball to your banana pouch lol. compare banana with banana ?
  16. Hi you can drink protein h20 or protein waters that have 20g protein in if you want and your surgeon says is ok. Mine did. I also been taking a chewable multivitamin from a sample bag i got from celebrate though. I am currently in purees but still try to choke down some shake because its just so high protein there really is nothing comparable to that 30 grams.. if you can get it down that is
  17. pft girl love the puree phase. i had egg salad, bbq chicken, chicken alfredo, chciken salad, still in puree and lovin it more than the shakes for sure. shakes make me hurl and pouch makes weird noises w them
  18. Hi catty it depends because your egd may come up abnormal and they need to do another study like a gastric emptying study. Plus you have to wait atleast a week to get the hplori pathology report for the surgeon. You can make things go quicker by picking up that pathology report yourself and hand giving it to the surgeon place.
  19. I think this is a grass is greener scenario. I am still having open wounds that need worked on and i have a considerable amount of pain but i am only a little over a week out. i also -sometimes- cant go more than a 1/2 ounce on puree without my nose running. I am having a real tough time getting the fluid in at 1 ounce limit. real. but everyday is a new day. im following my programs plan so i wont be eating the carbs til appropriate. however, i am not meeting even the protein minimum in the plan. 1 oz protein but cant drink if eat. its very rough to even meet one of the goals let alone both. i believe it is possible that some people have a looser connection point to their intestines which can make things easier than this which may be why yours seems so easy. however because i had a higher bmi i got the bypass to the max even the intestine length is 150cm. so thats probably why i am on the struggle bus but i wasnt going to go through it unless it was done all the way you know lol
  20. i got a magic bullet and what i do is throw the chicken in there after cooking it with other things. i had bbq chicken yesterday. its a puree but its been working for me.
  21. I was told not til 18 months out then you are outside the weightloss window
  22. I don't know how far you out but if just had surgery try pureeing all that if you aren't already maybe you just need to go back a step for a little while
