  1. I really hate to break it to ya but some of are in pain even with meds from doc. Just saying lol
  2. Well I think it is because you are past the beginning post op phase. They have these stages in this program where you are supposed to start trying to eat real food for your protein. I am only a few days post op and get in two shakes but even with that I feel like hurling at the end of the day. Water is hard to get in too. Did you not see the food stages before you chose that program before your surgery because different programs have different eating schedules? I saw one guy who allowed green smoothies and offered his own recipes post op on youtube. There were alot of options for programs to join and the eating plan was all laid out in printouts for me prior to operation and I had to have three visits with the dietician prior to surgery where they laid out the rules. Did you not have that requirement to where the expectations were unexpected?
  3. workplace cannot deny medical necessity items. this is also true for diabetics who need water to prevent ketoacidosis. consider talking to human resources instead of boss.
  4. it really is like that u pretty much sip the water or protein shake 24/7. im only a few days post op. It probably gets better for some. its not because the not drinking stalls its because if you dont u will have to go to hospital for an iv fluids which nobody wants to do (covid)
  5. well i prefer my water ice cold and shakes yeah it does get warm its a little better to me if before you have one set in freezer for a few
  6. comorbities. if you have something called diabetes/prediabetes its more likely to resolve after bypass than sleeve statistically. I have gerd which is a counter indication for sleeve- it can get worse with sleeve. Consider you body's specific conditions so you can come out with best health
  7. I am only a few days post op. Meal prep was handy preop. Right after surgery using the small containers (1 ounce disposable from amazon) reminds you to sip and not gulp. I have 1 ounce and 2 ounce disposable for the puree phase so i can make a batch of something and divide it out. I also have some nondisposable plastic 4 ounce ones from target (2$ for six) that can be microwaved for hot foods. I haven'tused them yet though
  8. I also had mine the 28th. The smell of food is pleasant but I don't feel like Id have room to eat anything so bloated from water and shakes.
  9. yes, but there is alot of water n protein and exercise to get in. Yesterday I napped a few times. Doing a little better today!
  10. I took it once during my hospital stay (so far). I did have some vomit issues at hospital not sure if it was that medicine or the other million meds lol. I went home with ultram (tramadol) and ofcourse liquid tylenol
  11. Yes, the stickers are pretty cool to add in to custom the week. Really liking it so far.
  12. I got a happy planner at happy planner dot com. They have a fitness one that has place for food water exercise which is what I am currently using. I bought a used lot of stickers that came with those cute fitness accessories off poshmark.
  13. Hi just got a happy planner fitness edition and im loving it for tracking everything. Nurse said have to give data at post op appointment. Anyone else got a log going? Heres a pic of mine.
  14. After all the basic stuff your read about here (nutrition egd sleep study etc) in order to have the surgery i had to have a preop clearance physical. This exam included ekg and chest xray within 30 days of the operation and is generally done by your primary care physician but you can sometimes get a walk in clinic to do it. I was able to get an appointment in time with my pcp so didnt use clinic. Surgeon also had Pcp refer for egd to be sure it would be covered ulcers might be contradiction for bypass definitely ask to see if those r okay for sleeve (to save time). Ultimately up to whatever surgeon is comfortable doing
  15. Oh itll be nice to be back to your own bed glad you are doing okay
  16. Ive read that fluids experience is different than solids so it may all slow down when you get to solids
  17. My surgeon said chewable gas x was ok try asking surgeon
