Nausea and Pain
During the first month I rode the electric carts bc I didn't have enough gas to walk the aisles. It was actually fun but now I am back to walking.

Shy of announcing this, but...
My goal is 150 and I don't recall weighing 150 at any time in my life. I am 67. I wore a size 20 when I got married the 1st time at age 19. It will be mind blowing to get there. You are getting close!

Mindful Eating Program?
Mindfulness overall is something you can do post surgery to become more aware of your behaviors and I'm sure there are many books about it that you can read. I don't think it's something you will need right after surgery. You will already need to be self aware of what you are eating, how it tastes and chewing and swallowing slowly to not feel pain. You will likely be practicing mindful eating already. I would save the money for now.

No restriction?
Make sure it is all protein. A full egg is 7 grams of protein and only one ounce in volume. Log your food so that you are getting enough protein. I also ate refried beans at that stage. It's high in protein. Greek yogurt too. Add unflavored protein powder to all your meals including eggs before you cook them. It will help keep hunger away.

Think about how long it would take to lose 30 lbs before surgery? It's almost a miracle.

Gastric Sleeve after 50 (Senior Sleevers)
How long ago was that? I find myself craving carbs. My nutritionist wants me eating 1/4 cup a meal which is almost impossible. I feel that I need more than protein all day long.

Gastric Sleeve after 50 (Senior Sleevers)
I'm over 60 and 4 months out. I'm bored with my meals which are almost exclusively protein. Would love some others to chat with.

What do you eat in a day 6 months post op?
I also am curious what others are eating at the four month stage. My nutritionist wants me at 2 oz a meal 3 times a day plus a snack and no more than 600 cals. I am finding it near impossible to meet those limitations and hit the protein requirements. I find myself getting hungry often. Curious to hear other experiences.

Slow down with weight loss
I had my first stall at 3 weeks. Very normal. Try not to weigh every day. It'll frustrate you and so long as you stick to the plan you will drop the weight

Centrum for men.

Always hungry!
Are you eating enough protein? Protein will help with the hunger. You have lost alot of weight in one month. Sometimes people feel uncomfortable discussing weight up or down. That has been my experience.

Nervous surgery Monday
It will be fine and the reward is worth it. The tough part is a month after adjusting to the new way of eating. Good luck!
