  1. It truly depends on the person. I was told it could potentially be a 2 night stay, but I ended up only staying 1 night, which I believe is what is most common.
  2. It definitely happened to me, don't worry - this is normal. Don't get discouraged, and just focus on your fluid and protein intake!
  3. Congrats, how exciting!! Best of luck with everything, you've got this!!
  4. #1 - I did it because I needed the extra push. I needed the extra help with controlling myself, and it certainly does what it is supposed to. HOWEVER. I struggle hard mentally, because my brain still talks me into eating the way I used to, and makes me push my boundaries. It honestly makes me feel like such a failure... #2 - YES. I would be lying if I said I didn't want to quit, or have regrets most days. But having the NSV, and seeing the numbers go down on the scale, it helps. Best of luck on your journey, I have faith you will succeed.
  5. Congrats, keep up the amazing work! I personally have been stuck here lately, but I am hoping with working in the gym more that will help get the scale moving down again. Super proud of you!
  6. I mix in Genepro and Crystal Light with my water, and I cannot even taste the protein. I would high recommend the Genepro, it is amazing!
  7. This is great, I am so happy for you! I don't know if this is normal, but I have hit a few plateaus since I had my surgery. Right now I am dealing with one, but I have been working hard with going back to the gym, so I hope that helps it start moving again. Keep up the amazing work!!
  8. That is amazing, keep up the incredible work!!
  9. That is amazing, great job!!!
  10. Best of luck in your new journey! I have faith you will do wonderfully. xoxo
  11. HI there, welcome! I had mine on 12/12, and so far so good. I am glad yours seems to have went well! Best of luck on your journey! (:
  12. I had my surgery 12/12/18, and (as of now) I have not had any real complications. Everything has actually went quite well. The only issue I've really had is the incision where they removed my stomach was a little stubborn, and took quite a while to finally quit scabbing. Compared to what others have endured, however, I would consider that very minor. Minimal pain, and it has been quite easy bringing foods back into my diet. Certain foods are still not agreeing with me the best, but again - I would consider that both common and pretty minor. I see you would have had your surgery yesterday - I hope everything went well! Best of luck in your journey!
  13. I believe it truly depends on the person. Genetics play a big part in it - some people have more elastic skin than others. I believe incorporating toning exercises can help prevent loose skin, but it is of course not a guarantee. I would speak to your doctor if it becomes a big enough concern, I know some will do the skin surgery for you as well. Best of luck. (:
  14. It is hard, but it does eventually get easier. Broth and sugar free popsicles were a lifesaver.
  15. I am not sure as far as fungus and whatnot goes, but as far as rash/chaffing goes, I have used deodorant and it works wonders. Hope it helps you!
  16. Don't be so hard on yourself - that is still a great number! I am right around that, and I had my surgery about a week before you. So many different factors go into it, just focus on yourself. 26 lbs is amazing, keep up the great work!!
  17. I eat nuts just fine. Chew chew chew, and take is slow. So far so good for me.
  18. This is amazing, congrats on your success and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
  19. That is awesome, I am so happy for you!! Keep up the amazing work!!
  20. I think for me it was the annual tubing trip I went on this past summer. I couldn't really have fun because I felt so self conscious, and I am just tired of that. I am ready to be able to (at least somewhat) embrace my figure, and not feel so disgusting.
  21. Phentermine works amazingly! I was put on it during my pre-op period, and it definitely does what it says it is going to do. As far as the depression goes, I already struggle with it, so I cannot really say if it was actually impacted by the medicine, because I see others have had issues with it. BUT. My experience was quite positive, and I would recommend giving it a try.
  22. Ok, I definitely laughed at this. That is too cute lol, but what an awesome feeling that must be! Congratulations!!
  23. I am glad to hear you finally got some relief, that is seriously one of the worst feelings and I am sorry you had to endure it. I know others mentioned it, but definitely keep some stool softener on hand, it works wonders. Same with laxatives if your bowels are being stubborn. Once you can implement a little bit of juice as well into your diet, I think between those three things you should be A-Okay. Best of luck, hope it doesn't happen to you again!
  24. Don't be embarrassed! Correct me if I am wrong, but I think I had read the younger you are, the higher the success rate. There is nothing to be ashamed of, you are simply creating a healthier life for yourself. I was 28 when I had mine this past December, and I don't feel ashamed because of my age at all. Best of luck in your journey.
  25. Worrying is normal - this is a big step you are taking in life. Once you get through the actual procedure, I think it will only go up from there. I have faith in you! Just read up, make sure you fully know what you are getting yourself into, and as far as the diet goes it isn't necessarily forever. Yes, the goal of all of this is to get you to eat significantly smaller portions, and you should want to keep self control as far as what you eat goes, but eventually you can eat almost anything you want again. Bets of luck! You will do great! xo
