  1. So far all my testing went great.. The EDG, the Stress Test, psych evaluation was lovly, I have a therapist so she just wrote me a letter. My Nutritionist appointment went ok as well. Had to have a Mammagram, and pap. Then to see my PCP for final blood tests. All testing and appointment I got finished in 3 weeks. I fast tracked.
  2. Cleaning the pantry seems like a great idea. I have already put my shakes in there and soup. Also unsweetened apple sauce. To take my crushed up pills...... But the Hubby and my 3 kids already started eating my soups as long as they tell me and I can get back to the store or Hubs can get everything I need. Tomorrow I start on my liquid diet and Thursday is my Surgery. Going backtoOrignal post. I can clean it tomorrow. Thanks for great ideas ...
  3. They cited GERD. Which I do not have. Also being I had a lapband and it failed I wasnt suppose to get a second weightloss surgery. But we had all this documentation talking about how LBs have a huge failure rate. Even the State quoted the documents and new stuff they had as to why they over turned the decision. Still do not know where they got GERD from, I had my lapband removed in September. No issue with getting that approved. They had their documenting wrong and wouldn't fix it. Still another reason it was over turned. But my theory is it was the end of the year, they didn't want their bottom line looking bad. Lol...
  4. I'm allergic to medical tape too. Have you tried paper tape. It doesn't stick as well as the other stuff, but I do not get welts from it when I take it off either. Just an idea.
  5. Congrats! Awesome Valentines gift.
  6. I have BCBS of ILLINOIS and it was like pulling teeth to get them to approve me. Eventually we apealed to the state and they over turned my non approval. That was 3 weeks ago. And we picked my surgery date for the 31st of January. I hope your approved quickly and can start your pre-op dieting .
  7. I have been suffering with sinus stuff to...tis the season. You will do great. Have a great day..1
  8. Can I join you ladies. I fit in the title of group. I started my journey with a highest weight at 350 in Sept 2013. I was lap banded then and lost dow to 280. Fast forward to today and I gained weight back. I was up to 336. I'm getting a VGS on Thursday the 31st. Currently my weight is 325 on my 2 week high protein diet. 1 more day of eating protein then a day of clear liquids. Just wanted to introduce myself to yall.[emoji16]
  9. Mine is the same date. Also very excited and very nervous. I have been flip flopping on my decision in my head a few times. But, I know I can do this.. done with being this weight.
  10. As a mom I would say it looks fine. Its healing, no infection.
  11. I will check these out. Thank you Fluffy Grandma. I was looken for a multi vitamin. But these look interesting.
  12. I have been working with my Nutritionalist to figure out what vitamins I can take after my VGS. Any that have Folic acid in the do not work for my body. I have a mutation my body can not use Folic acid or/and turn it in to Folate or L-methelfolate, which is the forms my body Can use.. Do any of you use vitamins that have folate or L-methelfolate I just want to have them here at home when I come home from Surgery. Thanks ahead of time for the help.
  13. I had to do that when I got my LapBand., But not for going for VGS. Look like different doctors do different testing and diets.
  14. My Nutritionist is trying to find me some vitamins that are good to take with out Folic Acid. My body doesn't use it and it has to be broken down in to Folate or L-Methelfolate. I have a disorder known as MTHFR. Anyone else have this and know of vitamins that will be good to take after my surgery. It's on the 31st. Kinda want to have them here at the house when I come home.
  15. Having Surgery on Thursday. 2 days after you. I'm super excited for you. You will do great and I'm jealous you get to go before me. *giggle*.
  16. You will be fine. I had no issues when I first had my lapband done. Got my ok un a week. But that was 2013.
  17. I am hoping your insurance experiance is better then me. I have BCBS too out of Illinois. They denied my first claim in Sept, and my appeal in November.. I had to appeal to the state and they over turned the verdict In January. It took 5 months, and I was nervous wreck, but everything is over no more hoops to jump through.
  18. Your date will be here before you know it. I started my journey back in September of last year and my surgery is Jan 31st. I'm very excited its here. But it seems like yesterday I started.
  19. I am on my 7 day of my 2 week. But it's not liquids. He wants me to eat Protein only, and drink no calorie beverages.. Surgery is on the 31st... Then day before surgery I switch to a liquid diet. So as he said " he doesn't cut through a chicken leg in the middle of surgery "
  20. I am fearful too. I am getting the sleeve on January 31st. But I'm a little more fearful of not losing any weight. What if I do the surgery and it doesn't work. I dont lose a pound. My doctor has me on a No carb, High Protein pre op diet and I have been drinking my water ( 60 oz a day) so I should lose something i would think, but what if I dont.
  21. I'm on day 3 of my carb free, high protein diet. Its definitely not fun, but I look at it as, Its going to be my new normal. I need to adjust sometime. My surgery date is Jan. 31st. So we can do this together.
  22. Good Luck and Congrats ? !!!
  23. Congrats. You look Beautiful.
