  4. We're almost surgery buddies...mine is July 22nd. I've been wondering about the same things.
  5. Welcome Rachel and best of luck to you the rest of the way. I haven't started my 2 week diet yet but I have a feeling that I'll pretty much hate it as well lol

  10. It's almost your big day. I think i'm almost as excited for you as I am for myself
  11. Welcome to the group and congrats on your surgery. I hope everything is going well for you
  12. Oh my gosh, I didn't even notice that...I thought it was 14 days lol.
  13. My surgeon told me that he'd only remove mine if it looks diseased when he gets in there. And they have to be sent out for pathology to determine what's wrong with it (stones, infection etc)
  14. Technically they aren't allowed to remove the gallbladder unless it's diseased(stones, infection etc.). Insurance won't pay for the procedure if it's not necessary even though it'll mean another surgery in the future.
  15. That's awesome that everything is going so well...keep us updated
  16. Just remember that there's no use in stressing out over something you can't change. The additional stress is probably making your body drama even worse. I know it's easier said than done, but try your best to stay calm and just roll with whatever happens
  17. Congrats...and keep us up to date on how you're doing
  18. I'm sorry that you don't have more support....stick to your guns and do what's best for YOU.
  19. I've been very fortunate to have very supportive family/friends/coworkers. However I do feel that if there are people in your life that are trying to sabotage you even after you've told them to knock it off...maybe you need to take a break from them until after your surgery. This process is hard enough without having to deal with such negativity. Just politely tell them that you've done your research and that you feel that this is the best thing for you and if they can't support you through the process then you'll have to stay away from them for a while. As for the psych eval and surgeon...they definitely want to know that you have a support system. Either avoid talking about the negative influences or tell them the truth and also tell them that you you have others that support you and that you're distancing yourself from any negative influences.
