June 2019 Surgery Siblings!
I lost about 35 lbs in my first 6 months...then I had some months of bad eating and gained it all back. Right now i'm down about 14 lbs from my original weight. I was denied by insurance the first time and I just kind of spiraled out of control...but i'm back on track now I think.

I also have BCBS and my policy specifically stated that I receive my 6 months of weight loss visits from a physician OTHER than my surgeon.

The increased white blood cells could just be from an infection. That's the bodies' response to infection or what it perceives to be foreign. This is all to make sure that you are as healthy as you can be going into surgery. Think Happy Thoughts

June 2019 Surgery Siblings!
I'd also be interested to know how scar tissue from a previous c-section/tubal will affect the surgery/recovery. As for how to buy the dress...i'd suggest waiting as long as possible and then making sure they have a very good seamstress.

Yikes, 4 weeks?...i'm not so much worried about myself being able to do it but i'm terribly worried about my family and coworkers that will have to put up with me during the pre-op liquid diet lol.- June 2019 Surgery Siblings!

Welcome Deanna...I also want to remain curvy but healthier. I never had trouble getting pregnant even though I was a bit overweight back then, but since I had small kids, I didn't want to take the risk of having the surgery and having complications or even death(this was back in the early 90s when this surgery was much higher risk). Now my kids are grown and I can focus on getting myself healthy. - June 2019 Surgery Siblings!
