Medicaid to be cut off 8/31
That's awesome?

Freakish Restriction???
I know EXACTLY how you feel. I was quite close to going to the ER a couple times from that awful feeling. Somehow I managed to get past it but try as I am I can't seem to prevent it entirely. Water even gives me that "rock in my gut/chest" pain sometimes.

Freakish Restriction???
I've experienced this several times so far. One bite too many and i'm in a world of pain and usually throw up. The only thing i've been able to do is to only take like 2 bites of anything. I never get the full signal until it's too late so I just don't push it. That's the only thing that makes me sometimes regret having the surgery.

They should also accept a letter from your supervisor saying that your hours have changed. Otherwise it'd be a check stub. A coworker of mine is going through this with her medicaid...she's pregnant and didn't want to lose the coverage.

June 2019 Surgery Siblings!
I've slowed down on purees as well but i'm not getting nearly enough protein so I contribute it to that.

EXCITED NERVOUS CURIOUS
Time really does fly by those last couple months. One thing to keep in mind though is that your taste will probably change and what you like now may be yucky after. I did the protein shakes fine before but now at 3 weeks post op it's like torture to swallow them lol. Keep up the excitement

Pain medication and Ranitidine - Am I feeling pain or acid?
I've had terrible reflux like pain since surgery(had it prior also but now it's so intense). I resumed the omeprazole and it's helped a lot but I still have the pain. It's usually when I don't eat slowly enough.

Medicaid to be cut off 8/31
I'd reduce my hours to keep the medicaid. I have private insurance and i've paid close to $4500 out of pocket so far.

LB->RNY- getting “stuck” with food?
I just had RNY 17 days ago and I get the stuck feeling constantly.

Price of meds. $$$$$
My post op meds... pain, nausea and muscle relaxer were only $7.00

Pain after surgery
I did that constantly after surgery. Take smaller sips. I forgot to do that a few days after surgery and took a big drink. My chest nearly exploded lol.
-
Everything is Nauseating
I get nauseous every night when taking my regular meds. I have better luck if I don't drink for a while before taking the meds. Luckily I've been able to stop most of my pre surgery meds.

Cold feet
I think it's natural to test the boundaries but I can tell you that trying to eat something too soon post-op is a bad idea... and VERY painful.
-
Cold feet
I basically did the same. Had the mock first 3 weeks before surgery and did great. Started the actual diet 2 weeks before surgery and cheated several times. I did make sure to be strict the last 4 days before surgery and my Dr said that my liver was great and that the surgery was easy peasy. I did lose 24 lbs over the 3 weeks.

June 2019 Surgery Siblings!
I'm finally starting to feel halfway human lol. Started on purees yesterday which is Heaven. Still struggling to get my water but overall things are well.

Anxious for Final Weigh-in
Mag Citrate would have been better.

How many ways is there to do an RNY?? SO confused!
Was the recovery any longer or worse with the gallbladder removed?

How many ways is there to do an RNY?? SO confused!
You're most welcome

Anxious for Final Weigh-in
That's tricky. If you had more time i'd suggest doing a bowel cleanse to get a bit more weight off. I'd think 10 lbs would be fine but it depends on how strict your Dr is about that. I'm crossing my fingers that all goes well and that you have a great surgery and recovery

June 2019 Surgery Siblings!
Question for those that have already gone through the pre-op diet. Did y'all have brain fog? I'm having the worst time concentrating this week.

June 2019 Surgery Siblings!
The dizziness is from your blood pressure not adjusting to standing quickly enough. Just stand slowly and wait a moment before you try to walk. If you're still on blood pressure meds, you may need to decrease those. My primary Dr already told me to keep a watch on my blood pressure and stop the meds if it's staying low. Glad to hear you're doing well...especially since you're my guinea pig lol.
