  1. Surgery last week you are still healing. Its finding what your stomach can tolerate. How are you doing with the other items you can have? @BigVifferGets to the point of food as fuel. Plain yogurt....You are hard core.
  2. It's not that people can " never" drink plain water again. It's a taste preference. In the scheme of things this is not a big struggle.
  3. Amen! I was able to step away from work and take on the grand kids and a partime job. I'm still adjusting to the life change. (Grand kids are sleeping so here I am on BP) No guarantee on how much time we have to live. I am making peace with my life, resolving relationships and finding my happiness. Honestly, I was not living my best life pre surgery. Pretty amazing to have myself back.
  4. Fantastic and inspirational. Happy first year out.
  5. Hope you heal quickly from your gallbladder surgery. Stalls happen.Hang in there and keep doing what you're doing.? Rest up! Get back to us when you can.
  6. beautifully done and not over the top. Congratulations on your gain of 1.5 lbs of implants
  7. Goals for 2019! Talk less listen more Vegas Baby! Seven days celebrating my brother in law's Birthday. Bucket list Revel Mt charleston half marathon. The run is just a perk of spending time with family. Hubby retires on Dec 28th. Time to enjoy life and find new adventures.
  8. Wow, From dating, resolutions to tea laxatives.....
  9. I'm confused. You are 40 days out and thought you would be in maintenance mode by now?
  10. Wear your LBD to your kitchen for breakfast. Just sit, smile at your hubby and wait for his reaction.
  11. You have a great sense of style. You know what is flattering your figure. No frumpiness allowed.?
  12. My goal gift was a new closet. Painted it and hung a beautiful chandelier. My addiction took over my closet. I donated many things and invested in my capsule wardrobe.
  13. Body lift, tummy tuck, neck, arms and legs. Would be wonderful. I'm envious. Companies value healthy and attractive to represent them. I was promoted over very qualified and senior staff. Later I was told the reason why. It was to represent the company but, also to manipulate men that we were doing business with. It was not such a compliment to hear from staff that the only reason I was promoted was because I had big boobs.
  14. So glad you posted this. I was never diagnosed with scoliosis as a child. My back started bothering me after weight loss. I went to see a chiropractor and my xrays shocked me. Scoliosis. Apparently, I have lived with this for many years. All I can do is laugh. I have a hip higher than the other. Spine is an s shape. Left scapula protrudes.
  15. When I got close to goal, I was not working as hard for the weight loss. I always failed at maintaining. I had some fear to work on. The last ten pounds took the longest time for me to lose. Diet fatigue still happens when you are maintaining. At this moment I'm not feeling the spice or momentum.
  16. Challenge Starting weight: 133 Current weight: 138. Four pounds up from last check in. Maintaining: Fitness/exercise goal: Changing gyms in the new year. Also changing my workouts up. Total weight loss at the end of challenge: (Post January 1st 2019): Check in: This is the time of year I start justifying food choices. . Each weekend I'm telling myself I'll get back on track and then blow it and eat unhealthy. It's a old crappy behavior that sets me back and has never served me well. I can eat like I never had surgery. It's a reminder of how easy it is to gain and how slow the weight comes off years out. I'm maintaining and the gain is not out of control. I will get it back down. I am I feeling sluggish, have a headache, and craving sugar/carbs. I wanted to stay on track to rock a new years dress. I have 15 days to shake off this gain. Ugh what was I thinking.?
  17. I'm sure your ADHD is making logging difficult. Glad you have an app to help. Writing a food log takes way too much time. I'm old school they didn't have bartitastic in 2014 when I had surgery. It could not track my calories in the first stages due to my low calorie intake. My calories are in the 1100 range this far out from surgery. I'm curious of where your dietitian has your calorie range? Are you at 900 or below?
  18. Food before and after thread below. Kind of interesting to see how much people can eat as you progress out from surgery. https://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/417820-food-before-and-after-photos/?page=45
  19. New rules. Music can be therapy. Some things can stay the same. Some things we need to let go of to move forward in life. Rules change and evolve with time. Beginning of bariatrics weight loss mode. A bit obsessive logging and tracking the new bariatric rules in my life. It all created positive change. Years out after goal, Reevaluating the rules around bariatrics. Learning to relax and finding balance. Not letting fear of regain take control.
  20. I agree with you, There is not a lot of information and support for people maintaining or have weight gain. Most vets disappear from the forums because it's mostly new people. It's hard to see people struggle with a major weight gain. I know this is not easy from my own experience. You may not want to hear some of this. But, I'm saying it because I care. The work does not end after goal. Don't let this gain become 100+ pounds back. Are you willing to change, work and do things that are not convenient or comfortable? Suffer the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. (1) As you progress out from sleeve surgery your restriction is less. You will be able to eat more food. (2) Stretching is rare. Very few revisions are done. You can make an appointment with your surgeon to see if you stretched your sleeve. Ask your dietician/surgeons office for help getting your diet back on track. (3) Many people confuse stretching for the the ability to eat more and grazing food throughout the day (combinations of health and unhealthy foods) Any of us can eat around our surgery. Eating more calories is causing the weight gain. (4) Pouch reset is a fancy way of saying getting back on track. Pouch reset is the old diet progression (liquid ,soft foods then real food stage) If you find this too restrictive try a different approach that is realistically sustainable for you long term. Contact your dietician or research diet options. (5) . Portion control/surgery restriction will only take you so far. To set your body back into weight loss mode is to know how many calories you are eating. You can use a food app. It makes it easier.
