  1. Yup ur right . I started. Doing some dead lifts with a 30lb barbell and liftesnitnover my head for the last few days and now I can morenor less get my suitcase up ! Am adding upper body every day now and some different core such that I can do life’s tasks . So odd , but then again I haven’t been 180lbs since I graduated from high school and losing 60lbs in 3 months is quick
  2. My biggest concern is that despite working out I have absolutely lost strength . So much so that I can’t lift my roller suitcase into the overhead anymore . That’s really odd since I was always very strong . So working on that - upper body is really lean but like most women I would like thinner legs and hips, think that will just take time and working out . Congrats in any case , u look awesome !!
  3. Wow ! Well done ! I am down about 58lbs, around 15 lbs from goal ...but also super happy with my look and how I Feel so losing 2lbs a week is fine for now
  4. Thanks shoelace ! I work hard on the exercise front, sometimes to the point I just have no energy cuz I don’t get enough food in. I am trying to get my endurance back but what has become clear is that in addition to losing fat I have lost a lot of muscle as well . I’ve lost almost 60lbs ...
  5. Interesting comments above . I am 3 months out and averaging about 10-15 lb loss a month in the last month , but I am am only about 15 lbs from my goal and I was a lower BMI. I can’t do 500-600 a day most days , as I am very active , spin 5x a week and get 10k steps . Seem to be settling at the 800-1000 calories range with 1-2 protein drinks a day and at least one yogurt in order to get protein grams in ... hard to eat enough protein honestly
  6. Looks good ! Weights and working out will help with skin sagging I have noticed
  7. There has to be a reason for this low level . U should work with ur nutritionist . Make sure u r getting water ? And doing exercise ? Getting enough protein ? Journaling to keep itself accountable ?
  8. I was a 34 BMI and lost 50lbs in under 3 months . I followed surgeon instructions , kept calories , sugar and carbs low and drank a lot of water and exercised regularly , both walking , weights and spin . Weight came off very quickly
  9. My nut suggested lemon or cucumber water s a diuretic . I drink 64oz of water every single day and finish my day with a half a lemon squeezed into water and generally loose half a pound . I also make sure I get an hour of cardio and weights a day , every day . Sometimes I get a 3 day stall, then drop a pound or 2. It’s pretty steady if I make sure I get my macros and exercise and water in
  10. They can put on a ring guard - not expensive
  11. Omg don’t go back to old habits ! Do the inspire reset plan and go straight back to post surgery eating I should think . Make sure plenty of protein, water and the required exercise
  12. I just don’t have lemons convenient during the day ! Ideally I do one in the am too. But I feel like the diuretic works really wel to flush me out at night while I sleep. I wake up and lose 1/2 -1 lb
  13. I think its a healthy and real fear for anyone who used food and got to the point where they had to do this surgery. I journal every thing i eat every day, feel guilty if i dont’ get formal exercise in, feel guilty if i don’t have enough protein or maybe have a little slip. The reality is that it is a slippery slope and regain is a healthy fear. I embrace it and use it.. but the reality is that no one will permit the regain but you and you took control of your life with the surgery and change it habits. Just agree you will do it every..single.. day. No excuses. That what gets me to the gym and eating the right foods every day. Good luck, you got this!
  14. You should talk to your surgeon and nutritionist. There is just no way you can not lose weigh! Are you eating under 800 calories and 50 g of carbs? Are you getting 60-80 g of protein a day and 64 oz of water? Are you exercising 30 min a day? Are you limiting sugar and not drinking and eating at the same time? Are you eating protein first? I would be amazed if you did all of the above and did not lose. When i am doing the above and perfect i lose at least 3 lbs a week, usually closer to 5
  15. I have been doing 1/2 a lemon in 12 oz of water every night 30 min after after my meals . 1/2 a cucumber in 4 cups should be fine . Drink as much of this water as u can if ur in a stall and spike your cardio that seems to do it for me
  16. Stay the course , it’s just water !! Ur weight will be all over the place for 3 weeks or more ! Don’t freak out !
  17. It’s a process . I stick with cottage cheese yogurt and shakes to get all my protein in . A little fish or chicken , but can’t each much and I am 10 weeks out
  18. U will be fine - have a little yogurt or cottage cheese if ur starving , just not the night before surgery
  19. Gosh I am so sorry u r going through this . It is a hard journey and we all have to make choices . Maybe it helps to just make a choice to eat right and exercise for that day and not future trip . One day becomes a week, a month , a year . When I did my surgery I made an agreement to myself that I had given in to my impulses for 57 years and I was going to change . I haven’t been 100% perfect but I think it’s what U do 98% of the time . Good luck
  20. It gets easier, but truthfully i am 10 weeks out and if i eat anything to dense( ie i still cannot eat chicken salad!) its like your having major chest pains. And then whoopsie, back up it comes. Stick to the purées and yogurts as long as you need, good luck!
  21. That’s normal . Your stomach goes under your right Breast at an angle . I had trouble swallowing water at the beginning
  22. I am 5’9 with size 12 feet , and started at 238 with a bmi of 35. Am 189 now and the skinniest I ever was as an adult was 168. Shooting for. That, maybe a little lower for a 25 BMI. We shall see , already some excess skin..
  23. It’s probably acid reflux , are you on lansaprozole?
  24. Maybe I misunderstood, I thought I said u ate pizza, a little bit at a time ?
