  1. Hi all. Had sleeve done July 10th. Getting through full liquids pretty easily. Getting ready to start puréed. Any suggestions for first foods I should try?

  3. Hi. I went to a center for an overnight study. It was a necessity for me because I snore and I was found to have sleep apnea.
  4. Best of luck to you. I went through all the doubt and worry as well-had sleeve done on the tenth. All went well and I am healing fine. Miss eating what I want when I want but I will not miss being overweight. Best of luck to you. Keep us posted!
  5. Hi I had the sleeve on July 10th. I am tolerating full fluids pretty well. Getting bored though. Trying to be creative with soups to switch it up a little. No swallowing issues thank god. Losing slowly. Looking forward to my new slimmer life.
  6. I’m bored. I’m having moments of extreme hunger. Have three kids at home I cook for. I wanted chicken nuggets so badly yesterday but I’m having talks with myself and keeping full withh protein shakes, yogurt, cottage cheese, and soups. Boring but looking at the big picture. Tried eggs a couple days ago and they came back up. Hoping to try again this week. I am waiting to see a big change in my shape and notice weight loss-as are the people around me I’m sure. I just have to remember it’s a process. Some people loose really quickly others more slowly. I have to up my exercise game as soon as my soreness eases up a little bit.
  7. I had surgery on July 10th and nap every day. I return to work Tuesday but I work from home thank goodness so I’ll be able to nap at lunch time. Totally normal.
  8. I had my sleeve on July 10th. I’ve lost about 15 lbs. slow and steady.
  9. Hi there. Yes. Full liquids. Tried yogurt. I have to try different soups to give me more variety. I am missing meat. That’s the issue. I want to eat meat and I know that’s not happening.
  10. Hi all. Needing a little encouragement or an idea for some new food to try. I’ve been managing with my protein drinks, sugar free ice pops, cottage cheese, soups (broth). I saw the doc for my 7 day post op visit on Tuesday and he said to try egg. I did and threw it up. I think I ate too much. I’m bored of what I’m eating and feeling depressed about it today. Can anyone give me some ideas? Is it going to get better?
  11. Thanks all. The ducolax and miralax combined finally helped me. Painful. I am now on colace twice a day.
  12. Hey there. I had my sleeve on the 10th also. I am not having much pain with drinking but I am nauseous and threw up the last couple of days. I am pretty emotional too. I feel like no one around me understands what I am going through. I just had a part of me removed and I’ll never eat normally, like the rest of the gang, again. I am sad and even a bit angry. Try to hang in there. If you are at the point where you may become dehydrated please speak with your doctor. I’m here and I’m listening. Keep in touch.
  13. I am constipated ten days post op. Is Ducolax safe to take?
  14. Well I tried them scrambled with a little cheese and wound up throwing the whole thing up. Will try again in a few weeks.
  15. Hi there. I take the chew and yes, it does get annoying chewing them.
  16. Tried eating some scrambled eggs last night but threw them up (added a little cheese for flavor), tolerating cottage cheese tomato soup, cream of chicken soup. Need some other things to try in the category to keep it interesting. Any suggestions?
  17. Hi there. So I scrambled them and wound up throwing them up. Will try them again in a few weeks.
  18. Hi all. Week 2. I am still on full liquids but my doctor said I could try egg whites. Anyone find that the whites are tolerated better?
  19. I had to lose 5% of my body weight to qualify for the surgery.
  20. Walk and nurture yourself. Congrats.
