  1. Awww shoot. Yeah I am afraid of that. Using my spirometer and trying to walk a lot. Resting too of course. Will keep an eye on my fever and other symptoms. Thanks for the reply.
  2. Hoping you feel better soon!
  3. Spoke with surgeon. Have to keep using incentive spirometer. Doesn’t want me getting pna. I will call if fever gets worse.

  5. Thanks matt. I won’t worry. Ok just keep drinking my fluids and I’ll keep an eye on it.
  6. You poor thing. I’m Day 3 post op and was vomiting until yesterday. The pain and pressure in your chest is probably trapped air. I had it horribly right after surgery. I would suggest you call your doctors office if you’re having trouble keeping water down. It’s essential to keep hydrated. I’m sorry you’re going through this. Please keep us posted. Call the doc.
  7. Hi all. Running a low grade temp of 99.5 (by ear). Face is red and warm. Hospital told me to call if i run a temp 100.5 or higher. Should I call my doc anyway or just keep an eye on it?
  8. I definitely overpacked. Used my tooth brush toothpaste phone charger and wore same clothes home. Also used my slippers. That was it. You’re in for a short time - don’t need that much.

  11. I’m kissing my coffee three days post op. Sipping on decaf peppermint tea right now and tolerating it well.
  12. Hi all. Today is day 3 post op. Feeling a little better every day. Taking my pills isn’t easy. Tolerating Jell-O and water. Slowly. Pain is bearable. Walking and resting as much as possible.
  13. I found the pre op diet to be a little difficult for the first few days then it was ok. I had to do two weeks of shakes and one high protein meal. You can do it! Keep focused on the end goal. This is being done to drink your liver for safety during surgery. Good luck!
  14. Hi all. Day 3 post of for me today. These boards have been so helpful. I have a lot of family and friend support but I felt alone in the beginning. I am doing well...tolerating Jell-O and fluids. Taking a lot of pills and those make me a little nauseous but other than that the pain is manageable with walking and pain meds.
  15. Hi all. I’m two days post op and I have. A great deal of pain with movement. Keeping heating paid on and taking my meds. Walking as much as possible. Good luck and speedy recovery everyone.

  18. Hi all. One day post op and just came home. Taking meds for nausea and they’re helping me but still nauscious and belly in pain. How long before this starts to get better?
  19. Nibble Thanks. I am home. Was given meds to stop vomiting. No fever. Just nausea still and pain in my belly. I’m told it will get easier. Praying it does.
  20. I am one day post op and am vomiting and have he chills. Hospital keeping me until it’s under control. Hopefully this will resolve soon.
