  1. Yes. I suppose I have tons of buddies! I love these forums. The people on here were kind enough to talk me through my fears about having the surgery when I almost backed out, and helped me through my vomiting as I was planning to be discharged home. So happy I found this site.
  2. Hi all. Post op week two looking for a buddy for mutual support and encouragement. I am doing pretty well as far as fluid intake-on full fluids. Plan to try eggs and some vegetables per my doctor at my one week check up yesterday. I am in New York. Would Iike to meet a buddy who could help encourage me and push me along and vice versa. I have so many questions and seems like there is so much to learn about this losing process after the sleeve. Anyone wanna buddy up?
  3. Hi all. Seven days post op. Doing well and had my one week visit with surgeon today. He said I can try egg whites and steamed veges (haven’t yet). Cooked Cornish game hens for the family and want to try a piece but not sure if it’s too soon. Can anyone tell me when I would be ready to try a moist bite of hen?
  4. I have th sleeve done on the 10th. I return to work on the 24th. I work from home at my desk on the computer. Aside from maybe needing to take a nap at lunch I think I’ll be fine. Everyone is different. Major things to remember are things like making sure you don’t get too distracted with work and forget to drink your fluids. That has to come first. No lifting for several weeks. I think two weeks is adequate but again, base it on your type of work and the way you feel after surgery. One week out I feel great aside from some minor sorenesss.
  5. Sleeve done July 10th
  6. You’ll do great! Think positive! Pat yourself on the back for all the hard work you did to get this far! Trust in your surgeon and all the talented people who will be taking care of you. I wish you the best. Keep us posted!
  7. Hi there. Just had my sleeve done on the tenth. I was a basket case until the wheeled me in. Woke up with pain that they soon controlled and nausea that went away by day 3. It will all be ok. Now it’s 7 days and I feel great. Wishing the best for you. Try to relax and think positively. All will be well.
  8. Hi all. Had my one week check up today. Down ten pounds, hydrated, doing well pain wise and tolerating liquids plus ice pops cottage cheese and was advised I can now try egg whites and veges. Feels like a victory. One week ago I was on these boards crying and ready to back out of the surgery-terrified. So glad I listened to so many of you and stuck with it. My life is changing for the better already. I wish the same for all of you.
  9. One weeK post op. Wondering when I’ll be able to eat some friend up low fat chopped meat for some protein?
  10. Good for you! Best wishes for a quick and easy recovery!
  11. Wow! Good for you! Yes. I’m tired and sluggish as well. Napping a lot. Great weight loss! Keep up the good work!
  12. Good luck to you. Deep breathe. Relax. You’ve worked so hard to get this far. This is a beautiful new beginning. Best wishes. Keep us posted
  13. Hi all. One week post sleeve. Doing wonderful. Off pain meds, drinking my fluids, up and active, feeling very positive. Wondering how my surgical buddies are doing? Check in and let’s cheer each other on.
  14. Interesting. Makes sense to keep it original by switching it up often. Lucky you that the warehouse is right near you.
  15. Thanks for the reply. They seem to go down smoothly. I take the multi in the am with breakfast and my calcium with iron twice day plus b12. What about you?
  16. How all. I am using celebrate vitamins and so far they are agreeing with my stomach. Anyone else have good luck with these?
  17. I really want to try cottage cheese, small curd. Tolerating everything else. Six days post op. I’ll wait until wed when I see my surgeon for the go ahead but I’m hoping he will say yes.
  18. I was told I could swallow pills day after surgery. Even a capsule. No problems whatsoever.
  19. Six days post op and no regrets.
  20. Hi all. Had sleeve done on the 10th. Currently worked my way to protein shake for breakfast along with drinking water all day in small cups. Also eat ice pops and jello. Haven’t tried a second shake for lunch but I’m hungry. Want to try cottage cheese or yogurt. I see my surgeon on Wednesday-will ask if I can progress. Occasionally drink broth. Tolerating everything well. No nausea. Thank god. Anyone else moved to cottage cheese or yogurt already day 5?
