  1. @ZeroCool how are you today? Hope you're feeling better.
  2. Day 9 for me. The past few days have been so much better and easier. People are totally serious when they say it gets easier. You got this!
  3. Glad you were able to have surgery. Hope you're comfortable soon.
  4. Even though you don't want to, please report the incident. How many others do they talk about? This isn't acceptable behavior at all. What if someone who isn't as strong as you were to be in your shoes? Think of the detriment this could be on their health and life. So sorry you had to be subjected to this. :'(
  5. Mine started last Thursday. It hasn't been easy but somehow today was easier. My energy wasn't as low as the past few days. I've been struggling with nausea for some strange reason.
  6. @AJP I'm feeling the same way. Nausea has become a big problem for me too. I keep reminding myself this will all be worth it in the long run.
  7. Anyone else experience lots of nausea on the pre-op liquid diet? I'm on day 6 of it and the nausea gets worse every day.
  8. How does the pain after a gastric bypass compare to the pain of a laparoscopic hysterectomy or laparoscopic gallbladder removal? Trying to mentally prepare myself for my upcoming surgery.
  9. Only potential issue I see is if you get a steroid injection your need to talk to your surgeon to see when it will be safe to have surgery again. If you're scheduled for surgery within 2 weeks of a steroid injection the surgeon may want you to postpone surgery a bit. Steroids target inflammation so they could potentially affect your healing process. I've had to come off of some of my meds because of this. Hope you're pain free soon!
  10. Just ordered the sample pack of Millie's Sipping Broth. Hopefully it will help me.
  11. I've been tempted to drink some juice. Figure my body must need something from them to crave them this bad.
  12. Since I'm on liquids I couldn't have one anyway.
  13. I've wanted a pickle soooo bad all day today. Ugh!
  14. It is terrible getting info out of insurance reps. Ask for someone in the prior authorization department. Good luck!
  15. I was thinking about making some pho broth and my own stocks so I can have a variety of tastes. But when I cut veggies for stock I tend to nibble on them. Has anyone else come up with good homemade broths or soups that are different than plain broth?
  16. It wouldn't hurt to call your insurance to see if your PCP visits are acceptable. Have you seen her every single month for 6 months? If your insurance has specific requirements that weren't met by your PCP a letter won't be useful in bypassing their policy. Like others have said, the time goes quickly & it prepares you for surgery. My surgery is 2 weeks from today & even though I went through a 6 month program to get here I'm starting to freak out thinking I don't know what I'm doing with the diet & such. Good luck!
  17. My surgery is scheduled for Aug 23. Today I started my liquid diet.
  18. Thanks! Today is day 1 of my liquid diet and I'm struggling!
  19. Thursday I start the liquid diet & the nerves are really kicking in.
  20. How are you feeling this evening?
  21. It is great to have people here for support! Welcome!
  22. My gallbladder was laparoscopic, as was my hysterectomy. I'm hoping this surgery will be also.
