  1. Yes it is pretty common here in the U.S.A. Usually it is for PS. Getting your girls done or cologen injections. Lipo-suction, that kind of stuff.
  2. Good morning all. Things have calmed way down here for a day or two. Supposed to get more storms Friday into Saturday. We have already gotten almost our yrs worth of rain. I have been sick since late Tuesday night. yesterday every bone in my body ached and I had sweats and chills. I woke up feeling good until I tried to eat. Then I upchucked. So I can't really eat. Drinking is o.k. though. Now I am aching again. No it is not the swine flu. I have no fever. So strange. I took a nap yesterday. I never nap unless I am sick. I am sitting here with a blanket wrapped around me. If I am not better tomorrow I will go get checked out. Heartfire,- Thanks every one is fine. You stay safe with the fires out there. EbonyRose,- Good luck with getting all the tuition together. Way to go on finishing your degree.! Fanny,- it is better you find out now than later down the road when you might have big trouble. Praying it sells soon. Sick,- breath in, breath out, Ignor your MIL. She not only thinks you should help her, but does it on purpose to get inder your skin. (IMHO) My ex MIL used to do things like that. Good luck Glo. Plain- as usual you give a very disturbing visual. babygirl,- way to go on the ticker!!Whoot Tap- I'm glad your body temp has stablized, I wish mine would. I always hated summer, mainly anything abouv 78-80. I was always to hot. Now I wonder how I will be this summer. I no longer freeze anyone out. You may not want to visit Alabama in Aug. or Sept. They are our hottest months. I also have an extra dryer hose. Lu -I had to show your quote. I can't imagine getting stuck on coffee. But the last part is the biggie your so baaaad! I think I covered everything.
  3. I posted this in the wrong thread. The receptionist said no one that is not one of their patients can attend. It's common courtesy to the other Dr.s. Sorry
  4. Thank you slim and Fanny. No injuries! Yea. Thank God. just a lot of damage. So far I haven't found out about my friends homes yet, but what they are showing on the news their homes might be good. It has just been so strange for this time of the year. I mean we get tornadoes at this time and in November. But it has been more active than it has been for years. I'm not for sure if this season of outbreaks has set a new record or not.
  5. :cool2: Thanks. They are very scary. Praise God that I have not been hit. I have had them form above my home. But not come all the way down. The full blown ones I have seen them from a distance and have seen up close and personal their destruction.
  6. I haven't read any post yet. A tornado has struck where I used to live and still have friends that live out there. Of course I can't get anyone on the phone. I pray they are all right. The tornado actually went over 2 of my DD's homes. 1 lives in a trailer and makes me very nervous because she very seldom will leave and go to a safer place. One place it touched down at was very close to DGD's school. This has been a very unusual spring. 1 county in the last 3 weeks has had 4 tornadoes touch down. They are right this minute under tornado warnings. Just very weird.
  7. Nope I don't want to chance Ron winning. IMHO he has lost this much weight because of his WLS, not his hard, I mean hardly work outs. His gastric is kicking in and I don't want to chance him winning it.
  8. Not only is it bad for the band but also for fat people everywhere. Look at the size of bite he is stuffing in his face. People already think that's the way fat people eat. that's just helping with the stereotypes.

That is cool. I very seldom find 4 leaf clovers.
  10. Welcome back Boxer. Don't feel ashamed about losing 45 lbs. I think that is great! We all lose at different speeds. You realize that your meds make it harder for you. That is a positive thing for you to know about. Keeps you from beating yourself up so much. Do you try to up your calories/ or drop them for a day or two? Do you keep a written food log? These things really help. Also I am a bouncer. I bounce up and down on the same 2 or 3 lbs. then I wake up and have lost them and start the process all over again. I have learned with me, my weight loss is usually towards the end of the month. That's when I stop bouncing for a few days and lose. If I don't lose then I look at what I have been eating and up or lower my caloric intake for a couple of days. With me my good caloric intake is 1200-1300 a day. If I go lower and stay lower then my body goes into starvation mode and hang onto everything I eat. After switching up for a couple of days I start to lose again. Pat yourself on the back for losing 45 lbs and for coming back here. Unfortunatly there are jerks all over the place. I know it is hard to ignor them. Try to remember that what you have accomplished, the jerks of the world can't take away. Love yourself. God loves you and made you. He also allowed for the LB to be invented to help us. Now start to love yourself. repeat it everyday while looking in the mirror. "I LOVE MYSELF!" Go ahead and say it, you can do it. Now don't you feel a little better? I am sorry this was such a long reply. Good luck and keep us posted hon.
  11. I watched "Boy in the stripped pajamas" 4 and a box of tissues. Grand Torino- 4 (lots of language) Love Clint. also a box of tissue I had a "71 Torino 4 door limited edition. Had it for about 10 yrs. It was the old ford green and we called it "The green lima bean" I painted black racing stripes down the hood of it. I loved that car. When it finally died it had over 350,000 miles on it. It was like the energizer bunny, it kept going and going and going!

Thanks luluc! I was giving up hope. I love old graveyards. The history in them is unreal!
  13. I will check with him and see if they have a problem with other Dr's patients coming or not. I will let you know in a day or so. This months meeting is in Albertville (Boaz) Next month it is in Guntersville.

Well gamyj I guess this thread is going to die. No one but you and me are interested in it.
  15. The Huntsville Medical Mall on the first Thursday of the month. It is at 5pm. The med.Mall is on the corner of Governors Dr. and The Parkway. It's great if anyone wants to come. It actually started out with 1 LB person attending gastric by pass meetings. Most of their Dr.s are here in Huntsville, but like me there are several whose Dr.s are else where. We even have 2 ladies who's Dr. is in Nashville. So the more the merrier! My Dr. has support meetings in Guntersville and Albertville. I am planning on attending one of his meetings soon. With longer days, I am more likely to attend than when it gets dark early.
  16. I'm in. Sounds like fun. Would you mind if I mention it at the support meetings I attend and let my Dr. know? Thanks.

Come on people this is a great thread! Here is another one from me as promised, My DD calls me at work one day just freaking out. Screaming and crying. She tells me about a phone we had sitting on the table unplugged. I had bought a new phone a few days before and I was going to give my old phone to my other DD. (The old phone was the one on the table.) Any how I would call my DD on my breaks to check on her when she wasn't in school. (She has health problems) It was about 5 min. till my break. DD say's the phone starts ringing. She figured I went on break early when phone started ringing. When she answered she had a dial tone and she still heard ringing. That's when she realized the phone on the table was ringing! She answered it. Of course it was dead because it was unplugged. She set it back down and it started to ring again. :scared2:That's when she called me all hysterical. I told her to throw the phone outside in the garbage. I came home from work early and she was still freaking out. I don't think she has ever really gotten over that one. I have more. But there must be someone else out there that has had their own experiences. Come on and share.
  21. Hello, Hello, anyone there? It is way to quiet in here. It has been storming here since yesterday. So much for any outdoor activities today. It stinks! Supposedly going to rain and storm for the next few days. LaLaLaLaLa I am so bored!
  22. I have to agree with you on this one patty. My kids would get into fistfights. I would just send them outside to fight and they are girls.
  23. Fanny for once I agree with Plain! I'm so jealous! have a magical time Fanny. Take lots and lots of pictures.
