Beth don't let her bring you down. You have accomplished a lot. I know it hurts because she is your mother. I can empathize with you because of similar experiences. Just do what is right for you and in no uncertain terms tell your mother you love her but to keep quiet about your schooling if all she is going to say is negative things. That is one of my goals is to reach that. Then I will be on my way to getting thinner. I want to be 125-135. My ticker says 170 (I think.) for my goal. That is my next goal to reach. I never really thought I could get lower than that. I have changed my mind a long time ago. Maybe I will get down to 115. I am extremely short, 4'10 1/2. So maybe I won't look like a skeleton. Now if I would quit bouncing and get to 239 I would be thrilled. Since my diagnosis I have been bouncing like crazy 241-243. Up down up down. grrrr. I think part of it is eating a little before taking some of my meds so it's not on an empty stomach. I don't want it sitting in an empty pouch.

Heartfire.....OUCH!!!! I am sorry. I have had a fingernail ripped off before. Thanks everyone. The dr. gave me 2 prescriptions that I can't get filled because his office visits went up. He set me up an appointment with an ENT that I will have to cancel because of the price.

So glad that your all right Ebony. Kinda had us worried. Sorry to hear about your friend, but glad she is OK. I'm going to my family dr. in the morning. Then I will see what he has to say. I will go from there. I have been hurting really bad today. Even the pain meds aren't helping much. Sorry if I am complaining to much.

Beth.....O.K. That takes care of your bottom, but what about your arms? Elbow pads help some but.... LOL

Thats great news Lulu! I love big dogs. I would like a GP if I had the land but I have a 3/4 acre lot. I want a wolf/husky hybred. We had one when I was growing up. His name was Poky. He was so sweet and protective. he would wait with me in the mornings for the bus and wait for me after school. he loved to ride in the wagon behind the tractor. He would also play with1 of our ferrets, Bugsy. They were so funny together. Then some jerk literally drove off the road and into our field and hit him and looked at my dad and laughed as he drove away. Dad wanted to kill the man. he checked Poky to see if he was alive (wasn't) then he took off for the house and got one of his riffles and went after the guy. But he was long gone. Dad never seen the guy before nor after.

Congrats Glou! Darn Lulu, we can't live vicariously though you now that your back home. Ex is loaning me some money. He even offered more than I asked for. So phone will stay on and I can make all the calls I need to. he even understands that I have no Idea when I will be able to pay him back. I want to see you in a dress with flowers plain! Ebony, I love the house! I always wanted a colonial 1800s home to fix back to glory days. Also on the job front. I agree with what everyone else is saying, that the new employers wouldn't want to talk to current unless they were going to hire you. Besides legally she can't say anything other than yes you work there, how long employed and if you would be eligible for rehire. Today will be my first day at work. Only 3 hrs. But that is 3 more than what I had. Community college is a very good idea. Everyone have a blessed Monday.

Mac, I don't know if it will help with minor symptoms, but it will help with the feeling like my band is around my neck. I had that checked a couple of months ago. I thought I was to tight. My surgeon does all fills and unfills under floro. The barium was going through the band just fine. I thought well when I lose more weight I will lose in the throat and will be fine. I thought it was just fat. One thing that makes me kinda upset is that apparently back in 2004 when I had bronchitis and went to the ER they found the growth then. Apparently it was small, but why didn't they tell me about it? I found this out yesterday when I picked up my records from the ER. So for 5 yrs on record I have had this growth getting bigger. I would have had this taken care of then! I had good insuance. But as far as my back goes, I will still have to have back surgery.

Are you self pay? that makes a big difference. Mine was done within 2 weeks of initial consult. With insurance it is a whole different ball game.

Welcome Jeff and good luck. I was self pay. But all Dr.s have their own policies. i didn't have to have any type of pre test except for blood work. I was asked a bunch of questions. I am sure if I snored I would have probably had to have a sleep apnea test done. I talked to my Dr. 1 day and was scheduled for surgery 2 weeks later! I have been banded for over a yr. I love my band. Make sure you have all your research done and research your Dr. I went to a seminar of my Dr.Found out at the seminar he had it done also. I feel so comfortable with him. I can ask him anything cause he's been though it too. Read a lot of these post. they will help you understand the band. Especially the people who have posted a lot. This will help you with questions for you Dr. Keep us posted please.
